Purdy out here using his legs to get first downs
Do you think the Lions defense was accounting for the threat of Purdy running with the ball like the Chiefs accounted for Jackson?

THink about that before you make a post like this.

That's not a defense of Jackson's play today, but to make posters thing beyond black and white points.

Textbook play to keep him in the pocket.

To their credit the Ravens tried to get him some rollout here and get enough time to throw.

That's exactly where they want him though for the Ravens though to make the decision for him to mainly stay in the pocket basically played right into KC's gameplan.

Over reaction. Defenses were LEVELING everything moving. Even willing to take penalty to hit the QBs. Smart of Lamar to stay in pocket and keep a defensive player stuck spying him and not in coverage.

He just missed a few throws, and in the playoffs, 2-3 blown plays can be the difference between winning and losing.
Bruh threw into triple coverage in the redzone what are you talking about :skip:

This isn’t just about Lamar using his legs…This was the best team in the league at running the ball this year and in the 2nd half against the Texans they killed them on the ground. They were never down more than 10 points this game…Just an overall terrible gameplan to have Lamar be the superhero instead of what got you to that point of the season. Gave the Chiefs defense no different looks…just pin your ears back because he’s in shotgun again.

Lamar didn’t need to throw the ball 37 damn times. Absolutely ridiculous.

Ravens definitely lost because of their refusal to run the ball

Lamar is not a consistently accurate a passer.

As a coaching staff you have to understand that Lamar is incapable of winning through the air and put your players in position to succeed.

These coaches get to the playoffs and convince themselves that he can throw the ball like the other elite passers in NFL history when his own personal history says otherwise. Not to mention that despite obvious improvements, their ball catchers leave some to be desired.

They should be running it 30+ times a game and Lamar should be passing 20-25 times. That’s it. Literally look at how the Steelers played with young Ben 2 decades ago when they won their first ring. Lamar should be KILLING nikkas with play action and runs after rolling out the pocket.

The right way, the wrong way and the Max Power way
Can you imagine if Josh Allen had Lamar's playoff record? This place would be in a frenzy :mjlol:

Lamar is not a playoff performer. When it comes to Lamar being a symbol to some people, a lot are too hesitant to call it what it is but the truth is he's just not built for the postseason...at least for now because he did take a step by making it into the AFC championship game so it could be a sign for things to come in the future.

However just like Dak, they both have good/great regular seasons winning awards, making milestones, etc but come the postseason neither one of them gives you the performance needed to help their teams win in crucial moments...

Whether it's pick-sixes, overthrows, sacks, fumbles, etc they both shrink or overthink the assignment and by the time they wake up the game is too far out of reach or time is running out (Dak against Green Bay for example).

Just like in any sport, legends, and greats are born in the postseason. The reason why Mahomes, who isn't even halfway through his career yet and is already considered to be in the Hof tier in most people's eyes is because of what he's done in the postseason.

1. Shout out to Spaggs who game plan was excellent

However, Lamar unwillingness to run the ball after his first and second read wasn’t open was part of the ravens downfall… u playing Cleveland, Miami, etc etc u take off like it ain’t shyt, but against the chiefs u want to sit in the pocket , ridiculous

Just like Josh Allen, they both want to make that big play on every play instead of Tom Brady throwing the short passes and let your receivers try to brake tackles

Your defense didn’t let the chiefs score in the second half at all and u only manage 3 points, ridiculous
