It wasn’t really that bad in context. Boomer was just saying that too much pressure was on Peyton like it was on Marino.

Boomer was right, and what he's saying applies to all QBs. It's crazy how the takes have gotten even more extreme since then.

This wasn't Lamar Jacksons loss like last week's loss wasn't on 100% on Allen. I don't think either played very well, but wins are a team stat.

Pretty much.

And this happens to ALOT of players. It’s like them losing is the better route because they can’t carry the weight of expectations AND actually go win the damn game.

Doesn’t shock me that this is why some players in every league love being in small markets and/or on losing teams because winning (and winning again) comes with a lot of responsibility. We clown Zion for the dumb shǐt he has done from day 1 in the league but to him that’s a comfort zone. Could you really see him leading any team and dealing with a million other things behind the scenes like making sure the lockerroom vibe is right?

Above the fray.
Over reaction. Defenses were LEVELING everything moving. Even willing to take penalty to hit the QBs. Smart of Lamar to stay in pocket and keep a defensive player stuck spying him and not in coverage.

He just missed a few throws, and in the playoffs, 2-3 blown plays can be the difference between winning and losing.

AFC QB rankings are Mahomes>>Burrow>Allen
Burrow over Allen because he beat us already none of those other QB's are close to any of those 3. I don't care how many MVP's Lamar wins

Lamar can't hit players pass 30 yards, nikkas need to stop it. Purdy ran more than that nikka :camby:

I dislike the NFL as a product on the field generally speaking, but it is the sport that probably operates the most like how the real world does. There's some corporations that just operate on a higher level, and got a floor that rarely if ever dips. Some other smaller dogs just get an occasional chance for their ceiling to meet them dudes floor.

Chiefs pretty much been Nike, Baltimore been more like Adidas. You doing alright, but you get a Yeezy or Beyonce/Ivy Park every once in a while. Then Nike comes out with another classic retro around December and just dominates again.

I don't think Lamar would be reason #1 why they lost this game to me, but when you look on the other side and you see Mahomes place virtually every ball in the right spot for an entire half (at least), then you got Lamar progressively leading his receivers more off target as the game progressed (not saying he was bad at this today, but it definitely wasn't good), it can be tough to watch.

I don't think he needs to be a surgical passer to get to where we all want him to get to btw. I just don't think we needed to see this haphazard pass-first GP and him almost exclusively scrambling to pass. I realize that's an adjustment he's made this season and he's looked like a better passer, but I don't think that's optimizing him tbh.
