Allen has been great with his team but:

The Bills have beaten up on porous teams. The AFC East literally has 3 below .500 teams. Bills play them 6 times. This season they also facing the AFC South which has another 3 teams below .500 teams. So that's 9 games against below .500 teams. And of course, they beat below .500 and battered 9ers, making it 10 below .500 teams

Facing winning record teams, has resulted in an average output for the Bills (3-3). Including a 35-10 route put on them by Baltimore

The quality of teams are just much lower and statistically Lamar is much higher.
Two of those wins were against the #1 seeds in both conferences and that can’t be ignored especially considering the Ravens lost to both the Eagles and Chiefs. Those were high profile games as the Chiefs would he playing for undefeated legacy right now otherwise.

If you want to disregard that loss due to it being week 1, then you could essentially do the same for that Bills loss being early in the season.

I think both guys have a strong case. I think it's better for both guys to NOT win the MVP because of the added pressure to win if you're the odds on MVP (I know the award isn't given out until the day before the Super Bowl, but sometimes it's obvious who will win)

I feel both Bills and Ravens fans should not want their guy to win the MVP, especially Ravens fans.

Most folks forgot....

Jokic didn't get MVP three years in a row because the NBA knew they fukked up.

How you gonna give Jokic MVP three years consecutively when:

Jordan didn't get that, Lebron didn't get that, Kobe and Shaq both have 1 MVP and the only other time it happened was with another white player

Stop using this dumbass logic.

Jokic wasn't competing with those players to win MVP.

Look at how stupid y'all looked when he went on to win a title that season.

Not only that, but Lamar stomped Allen H2H, 35-10

Lamar had 3 total TDs to Allen's 0

I honestly believe if the roles were reversed and Buffalo won that game, we'd never hear the end of it

My Father in Heaven
Lamar is my favorite QB and I was on board with him winning last year. But, people need to be consistent.

He didn't win last year just because of his statistics. People went with team record and then the game he had against Purdy is where he moved ahead in the MVP race.

Lamar and the Ravens have lost to the Raiders and Browns this year. That is going to stand out. They did beat Buffalo head to head in a game where he played well and Henry had nearly 200 rushing yards.

Allen has taken out the top seed in each conference this year with significantly less help on the offensive side of the ball.

I don't think it's a travesty if Lamar wins as he's having a better season than his MVP season last year, but people need to be consistent.
Here’s some consistency for you, every qb who has throw for 40 touchdowns and had a passer rating over 120 for the season has won the mvp

Why should Lamar Jackson of all quarterbacks be the first to break this trend? Let me guess

Blessings

Not sure why Allen is getting the most media exposure (by far)
Allen has had signature wins and has been dominant most of the year, so he's deserving. The real reason he'll win it though, is he has a groundswell of people in media stumping for him...

The argument he's having a better season than Lamar isn't really that strong, but because he doesn't have one yet, and Lamar has 2, he'll get it...

Josh was outstanding in his two signature wins this year (KC and Detroit). Lamar was mid in the Eagles and Chiefs losses. Josh has been great in most other games, Lamar has been great in EVERY other game. Josh sucked vs Baltimore and Houston, his low bar is lower than Lamar who doesn't have a "he sucked" game this year...

And at the high bar they've been equally dominant. Lamar should win it, but I'm okay with Josh winning his first. His play has mostly earned it...
If he wins this third MVP, then they have to win the SB or we’re going to have to have a discussion. Can’t be out here winning MVP and having regular season success and it not carry over to the playoffs.

Gotta hold em to GOAT level standards like we do for people on that level.

No excuses.
They already having that discussion on Lamar since last year...

Its lamar, anything else is affirmative action for allen .this same houston team josh allen lost to it and played poorly, lamar has played 3 games in the last 11 days and has 11 total touchdowns to a single interception while sitting out 4th quarters of the games, he beat allen head to head, he will likely finish 12-5 with the third seed and winning the division, one or two extra wins by the bills because justin tucker was having trouble kicking field goals or extra point shouldn't get allen the MVP not when lamar is clearly better in nearly every statistical category as well, and not to talk about strength of schedule. Its lamar.

and yet, we saw the excuse making with the performance they put up against the Chiefs but didn’t want to hear it the week before with Allen playing the same exact defense.

If it happens again, the same posters are going to go into defense mode even with us slandering others in other sports for coming up short.

We gotta keep it consistent out here and not play favorites.

Lamar is taking his fair share of criticism and will continue to if he sucks in the playoffs again. The guy who really ducks criticism is Allen, I guess given he hasn't won an MVP yet...
