Let me start with this, I'm clearly not a Mahomes fan, but I'm not a hater. He's the best quarterback of his generation, one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time, and he's proven this over and over again...

I made a thread a few years ago that there would be a challenger as the second best of this era, and I thought it would be Burrow. I think it's becoming increasingly clear that the #2 guy is Lamar, and Lamar is a title away from making it a coin flip with Mahomes...

Compare them in both their primes, Mahomes starting in '18 in his first full year starting, Lamar in '19 in his first full year starting. The huge contrasts are, clearly Mahomes with a 3-0 Super Bowl lead; Mahomes 15-3 in playoffs, 4-2 in the AFC Championship, vs Lamar just 2-4 playoffs, 0-1 in the AFC Championship...

Until Lamar wins a title he'll never equal Mahomes but regular season, he's matching Mahomes step for step:

Not necessarily as you'll still have some juelzing and making excuses about it especially when we've held it against other people as well. An example of that is what happened against the Chiefs during last year's playoffs and the excuses people were making even with the Ravens having their own elite defense.

The totally irony is that they ended up doing the exact same thing they complained and posted about the media doing the week before in making excuses for Josh Allen losing against the Chiefs.
