sagging by default takes away the drive... you basically cutting off the driving lane...so its faster to crumble on the guy driving to the basket..sagging is one of the most DISHONEST defense their is... you are disregarding the player's shooting totally...

its not many reason you defend like this..... you dont believe the attacker will make the basket.

Yeah, Kobe shooting 23 times/game in the 2004 Finals while Payton and Malone only got 5-6 shots/game each, that was 100% the triangle offense. If you really believe there's a reality where the Ron Artests/Dwight Howards/Gary Paytons of the world maintain their scoring average when joining Kobe's team as the 3rd option, if only coaching hadn't gotten in the way, then I guess you're free to believe that.
