JJ knows his shyt. The issue isn't can he draw up plays, or make adjustments, or put in a good rotation. He'll be a rookie coach but I'm sure he'll figure that out.

The other part of being a coach is managing players and working with talent to play their best.

The issue is if he can connect with NBA players and speak to them like human beings and not continue to be the condescending, pretentious, look at me, I'm a basketball genius, hollier than thou jagoff that he appears to be on the ESPN broadcasts and interviews I've heard him do.

Whether he's fired or not is irrelevant to my point tho. Either way he'll be able to say, "When I coached the Lakers", "When I coached against x player, we did this"

It opens up another level of perspective to his insight on basketball. He'll be able to talk from every angle. It's quite fascinating when I think about it.

Where is this narrative that he won't be able to relate to players? From watching his content with players I don't see there being a communication barrier there that people keep bringing up. If anything I see the opposite
