giannis is coming to Toronto brehGiannis gonna be running that 5 for you boys in 2021
I'm back on the heat bandwagon next summer
if we make it out the east we gonna need somebody to throw at Giannis/Bron/Kawhi....All i'm going to say rn is I trust the FO because i'm here looking at Iggy's stats last year going
Justise was collateral damage. Our goal was JJ and Dion to be outta hereI dont know how i feel about it brehs
Never understood the love affair with justise. Dude ain't done shyt to deserve that type of praise. He's always been a decent player at best and soft as hell in pivotal playoff games. he woulda been a liability once he came back. It is what it isHaven't believed in Winslow for years so the trade is a wash to me. Can't have a nikka that can't shoot or finish in the starting lineup while also always injured. Yeah he's younger, but we should be done with Igoudala in 2 years, we'd have to still be talking about if Winslow would figure it out on his 3rd contract. That ain't good for my mental health. 2021 is the still the goal like it always should have been, cause Jimmy is nice, but he likely ain't leading you to the promised land solo. He has shown he's an elite leader though.
Can see why they going after Gallinari, but they better go after Nerlens Noel also in that deal if they got any sense.
He’s one of the few that showed any cojones in the Philly series. The thing with Winslow is he was polarizing to fans for no reason, pretty much all he did was show up and work hard. The guys that didnt like him for whatever reason were never going to no matter what he did. Same cats talking about he turned a corner months ago now saying they havent believed in him in yearsNever understood the love affair with justise. When I say this about Bustise in here I get so much hate. The kid is a good likeable kid but he was nothing special on the court. I always say a player's 3rd years in the league is (on average) his "put up our shut up" year. It's supposed to be the year he at least shows you who he is as a player. But cats were in here giving him discounts talking about "b..bu...bu... it's really his 2nd because he was hurt blah blah blah". I get he's young and had such a high ceiling and high bball IQ it makes you wanna hold onto to hope. But so many things on a 15 man team have to be adjusted just to make one player successful... Like face it:Never understood the love affair with justise. Dude ain't done shyt to deserve that type of praise. Nah Riley been tryin to trade his ass for years. He's always been apart of trade rumors, but no team wanted to give up shyt for him. His trade value was trash. Which is why we got an old ass Andre iguodala for him. Riley just finally got fed up with his injury prone non-dribblin ass.At the beginning of the season, I don't think Riley/the front office envisioned the team would be contenders this quickly. They're now in win-now mode, Winslow just had the unfortunate status of not being able to play at the worst possible time.
Andre Iguodala’s power move pays off with Miami deal: ‘I just knew to be patient’Pat really reminds me of (former Warriors executive) Jerry West. They’re very good. I am a huge fan of Jerry. He’s my guy. They’ve been around the league so long. They have been around so many eras. They’ve seen so much. I read Pat’s book (The Winner Within: A Life Plan for Team Players) about four years ago. (West and Riley) have that smoothness to them. They can sell you anything, but it’s genuine. It’s not a fake dream. It’s a dream, something you can see in your realm.”
Yea but at some point you gotta make that leap. It was the same story every year with dude. He'd go on hot streaks then inevitably go back to his usual timid self. On top of that he refuses to play through any nagging injury. I mean D Wade got an injection in his ribs just to play in a game. Winslow ain't cut from that type of cloth. But I still have no idea how dude can't dribble or make a layup in traffic after 5 years. That's not the sign of somebody who's really working that hard in the off season. There's no possible way you're truly working that hard and still can't make any type of significant improvements to your game in a 5 year stretch. I think Riley and spo just finally seen the light and got fed up with him. Maybe that Miami life was just too much of a distraction for him. He’s one of the few that showed any cojones in the Philly series.
