Don’t waste your time going to Dulan’s or any Louisiana Fried Chicken btw

Nikka WHAT? :martin:

You BIG SLEEP.

Louisiana got the best fried chicken in the city, that's facts. It's the one thing I have missed since moving out of the hood and working out regularly. Popeyes, KFC, Wingstop, none of them places taste as good as the Half Dinner with fries.

OP, if you looking for places to eat, Roscoe's right next to the freeway is legitimate. Chicken and Waffles, but they have a legit soul food menu, from cornbread to newer shyt like the chili cheese chicken fries.

Woody's BBQ is a classic joint too.

If you go up a little on La Brea, you can find a Jamaican Jerk Chicken spot as well.

You could also hit up Fox Hills Mall, which is a little north of Inglewood, but not far at all (something like 10 minutes depending on traffic). Shopping, Food Courts, the works.

The best fried chicken in LA will always be Golden Bird.

Breh wants recommendations and you go with ghetto ass Louisiana and been fell off Roscoes :mjlol:

Might as tell him to hit up fukking Astro Burger

Breh, Golden Bird ain't existed since the 90s. :mjlol:

I did used to fukk with them heavy though, I ain't even gonna front.

And yeah, Louisiana is ghetto, but it's still the best chicken spot in the hood breh.
And what Roscoe's you going to? Inglewood, Pico and Long Beach still hitting.

Anaheim's is hit or miss tho...

My lady and I will be in Inglewood next month for a Rams game. Will be staying at one of the nicer hotels near LAX but will be there for 4 days. Outside of Sunday, we have nothing planned. Whats some cool, safe, spots (both food wise and chill bar/lounge places) to hit up thats not gonna take 3 hours in traffic to get to and back from?
I take it you guys are mobile or at least will be using Uber. Since your hotel is by LAX we can keep it in that vicinity. Inglewood doesn't have 3 days worth of activities.

Inglewood: Take a stroll down Market Street which is downtown Inglewood. There's a couple of bars (Nile Bar, The Wood), a black owned eateries, shops, and retail. The Miracle Theater might have something going on at night. Dulan's Soul Food is right around the corner on Manchester. Ms. Ruby's Bakery, one of my favs is also on Manchester. All of this is only a few blocks from SoFi Stadium. Hit Kenneth Hahn Park for a hike/jog. The hot restaurant/bar scene is probably a year and a half away. Its coming but its not there yet.

Hermosa & Manhattan Beach: Just south of LAX, this is a good place to kick it and chill at. The beaches, the piers, bars, restaurants, shops, cafes, etc. all on walkable blocks. Rent some bikes in Hermosa Beach and ride along "The Strand" which is a paved strip that runs right along next to the ocean.

Culver City: Just north of LAX and Inglewood. Washington and Culver Blvds is where you want to go. A nice strip with numerous bars and restaurants. Rush Street is the hottest spot -restaurant by day with a DJ spinning the latest shyt at night. Then you got Seventy 7 Lounge, Carbon, The Culver Hotel, Honey's Kettle Fried Chicken, Rocco's Tavern, Citizen Public Market, Derricks Jamaican Cuisine, Etta, and so forth.

This is just within the LAX area. If yall really trying to get around. Hit Santa Monica, Leimert Park off Crenshaw, Beverly Hills, Hollywood (Hit Tao up), Malibu, DTLA, etc.. these are further out but they all have their own sections of bars, restaurants, shops, etc. That's what LA is, its not just about hitting one area where everything is located at. Its all about sections out here as every section, city, and suburb has their own nightlife and culinary scene. You gut have to find the spots and areas you like

If you trying to get by the coast Santa Monica and Manhattan Beach are close by. Santa Monica has tons of places right off the 3rd Street Promenade. Water Grill, Elephante, King and Queens is a fun place for some Tacos and Drinks. Manhattan Beach a little closer to Inglewood, the Strand is a nice place there. There's tons of great places, only thing I would say is stay out of DTLA, gone to shyt since the pandemic unfortunately
Its coming back tho. Even though the homeless is still a problem, DTLA was on a serious roll pre-Covid

DTLA always been dry for me. As a Los Angeles native, it's always been the spot for posers, transplants and wannabes to me. This why nikkas call us "fake", because out of towners visit DTLA where all the transplants are located, thinking that's us

I only go to two places there-- Little Tokyo and Grand Central Market.

Its some posers there, probably hanging in the Arts District, but that scene is mostly in Hollywood, West LA, Beverly Hills, etc imo. DTLA is on the come up but its still gritty asf. Its not really the ideal location for influencers, posers, and wannabees. Downtown has some dope bars, lounges, restaurants, museums, etc. DTLA is more realer than Hollywood, Beverly Hills, Santa Monica, and the likes if you ask me
