It's something that needs to be done, but in dealing with the capital approval process in my job, I see how funds get lost on projects. Government needs to fight harder and pay more attention to the shyt they are approving. Just asking questions in my current role, no matter how dumb has saved costly mistakes and time. I imagine the government is:
I don't think government should be run like a business, but this is one of those circumstances that I think people in government should be paid more AND if they aren't getting the job done right, fire they asses...too many people in government from what I see can fukk up repeatedly and still keep their jobs.
- Not paying super close attention to the funds they are approving and how they are spent nor how they are tracking on timing and spend...
- Getting kickbacks or pocketing some of the funds themselves.
