Uncertain grounds
I know Cali is notoriously bad at getting anything built, but this country is fukked if it cost that much and took that long to do an infrastructure project.

I would have voted no on the infrastructure legislation congress passed. That shyt is 1. Never going to completely get done 2. What does get done will be ass 3. Will inconvenience everyones commute the whole duration of the process of it not getting done

At the very least they should be forcing construction in the wee hours of the morning. Dont even award contracts to companies that dont make workers work the graveyard. They had construction around my way on a heavy traffic street around 5 oclock every other day for like 5 years until it got finished. Not only was the actual construction a problem, but there was a dispute that tied it up in court in regards to an easement and eminent domain. It's going to be a complete disaster

A simple Google search my guy...

Nevermind the Tiajian Factory explosion or the environmental mess and potential worst man-made disaster in the making that is the Three Gorges Dam...

Just because something is made quicker doesn't mean better...

It's something that needs to be done, but in dealing with the capital approval process in my job, I see how funds get lost on projects. Government needs to fight harder and pay more attention to the shyt they are approving. Just asking questions in my current role, no matter how dumb has saved costly mistakes and time. I imagine the government is:
  • Not paying super close attention to the funds they are approving and how they are spent nor how they are tracking on timing and spend...
  • Getting kickbacks or pocketing some of the funds themselves.
I don't think government should be run like a business, but this is one of those circumstances that I think people in government should be paid more AND if they aren't getting the job done right, fire they asses...too many people in government from what I see can fukk up repeatedly and still keep their jobs.

its always 10% of the people here causing 90% of the problems
most people are annoyed with this shyt but u got a lot of people that don't give a fukk about anyone else
lotta people entitled or just generally destructive, like white boys at a frat party
especially the young generation that cant do shyt without constant noise and stimulation, raised on trolling culture

A lotta transplants and kids see the city like a bigass airbnb party they dont have to pay for

The people doing this are usually hood kids with cars they got off running scams, or suburban immigrants who go to YOUR neighborhood to fukk up the streets then drive their arab mexican filipino ass back to the burbs

With that said, this is the content capital of the world, and the bridge is the newest spectacle. It actually looks really dope in person, so naturally anyone who is trying to get some content or clout is going to jump on this.

There's just so much other good places for content in this city though, but the hype shyt attracts the gen pop which attracts the troublemakers.
LA is a shythole and the level of inequality is so exponential that shyt like this happens on a structural level.

LOS ANGELES - The Sixth Street Bridge linking downtown Los Angeles to Boyle Heights has been closed indefinitely after continued concerns about illegal activity and safety, the Los Angeles Police Department announced Tuesday night.

The bridge opened to the public back on July 10, just over two weeks ago, but in that brief time, it's been the center of attention in Los Angeles for all the wrong reasons. Street takeovers, graffiti, and crashes have plagued the bridge since its reopening. The LAPD has given out 57 citations on the bridge over the last four days, according to LAPD Chief Michel Moore.

"The 6th Street Bridge will be closed until further notice due to illegal activity and public safety concerns," the LAPD posted on TwitterTuesday night.

The construction of the bridge took six yearsand cost nearly $600 million. Ahead of its grand reopening, LA city Councilmember Kevin de León said the bridge would "rival the Hollywood Sign and Griffith Park as iconic images of our city."

The bridge has been closed multiple times, most recently every night this past weekend for what LAPD called "questionable activity." On Tuesday, Moore announced that speed bumps were being installed on the bridge to deter street takeovers and that a center median and fencing to discourage people from scaling the archways could also be installed soon on a temporary basis.

But given Tuesday night's announcement those improvements can't come soon enough, leading to the indefinite closure of the bridge.

6th street, 6 years, 6 hunnid millie, open 16 days. :wow:
