she acts like someone who has one foot out the door, for a money gig. i guess she wanted to do her last two years on her own terms

Sinema is probably the best bet for Arizona. If she was primaried, that person would likely go on to lose to the Republican candidate.
I'm not sure if a split vote works in anyone's favor.
This is an oversimplification of electoral politics as being a bad candidate particularly in a general can also cost you your seat regardless if there was a primary or not which she admittedly realizes she is ..hence her defection. These two things do not relate.
Taking out a sitting Senator or House member in favor of someone else in the primary can have bad consequences and actually help the other party win the seat. MAGA cost the GOP several seats doing this and Progressives have cost Dems seats doing this too.
She's going to get killed when her seat is up for re-election regardless if she's on the Democratic or Independent side.I just hope she doesn’t run for reelection
Is Arizona a purple state? Yes. Kari Lake barely lost the election. A moderate Republican would have got the independent voted needed to win. The reason why Dems have been winning is partly because Republicans nominee awful candidates who turn off Independents and a few reasonable Republicans. This is an oversimplification of electoral politics as being a bad candidate particularly in a general can also cost you your seat regardless if there was a primary or not which she admittedly realizes she is ..hence her defection.
Except for the fact that Arizonians had the option of Martha McSally as the moderate republican you claim would have won yet she lost twice to Sinema and Kelly back to back lol …”Moderate Republicans” do not drive enthusiasm in Arizona clearlyIs Arizona a purple state? hobbs was also a low quality candidate. a better dem would have won by a wider marginIs Arizona a purple state? Yes. Kari Lake barely lost the election. The problem is that she could split the democrat vote, dooming whoever wins the dem nomination and perhaps throwing things to the republican. It almost feels like deliberate sabotage. She's going to get killed when her seat is up for re-election regardless if she's on the Democratic or Independent side.
McSally was a shyt Republican and the Trump backlash was intense.Except for the fact that Arizonians had the option of Martha McSally as the moderate republican you claim would have won yet she lost twice to Sinema and Kelly back to back lol …”Moderate Republicans” do not drive enthusiasm in Arizona clearly
The reality is Kyrsten is not Kari Lake …Kari tethered herself to trumpism and he’s still quite popular in conservative circles …the moderate republicans have been losing primary after primary because of that fact … the Kari Lake/Trump enthusiast will never find anything appealing in a rebranded “Independent” Sinemea and the Democrat voter hates her …she had no pathway to winning anything which is why she’s essentially quitting… I doubt she even runs in 2024
I think Arizona has a lot of neocons, still. Some of those neocons jumped right on the Trump train, but not enough of them did.McSally was a shyt Republican and the Trump backlash was intense.
Arizona, like Georgia is not a fan of Trumpism. Take the Trumpism back and run a normal Republican, things go back to the way they were.
