If an athlete doesn't care about fame or people's opinions then the reporter have zero power. A lot of these athletes play nice with reporters because they want to portray a good guy image or know that some have HOF votes. The truth is that a lot of these reporters are not respectable or credible.

its not really a care thing. It’s about, it’s in your contract to do media, and you doing media continually promotes you and the game.
Kyrie has used his time with the media lately to troll and belittle the reporters, cool, whatever, but he’s doing more embarrassment to himself than anyone else. Every time he speaks he seems more unhinged than the last. Furthermore, at this point, reporters are pretty much trolling him back with their fukkboy questions to get sound bites out of him. So he’s more of the puppet here, than the other way around.

(It’s something you see on the podcasts when say for example a TO has to boost up the guys he’s speaking with and the All the smoke podcast does it a lot)
I feel bad for KD especially considering how much he has given the game especially when you think about the jones fracture and the Achilles injury. KD could get this team into the playoffs but that’s not the goal the goal is to win multiple. Be focused now and do fukk shyt later.
Also highkey James Harden knew he was going to the Sixers since Morey went there. So In a way two years in a row he sunk the 76ers biggest competition to win the east in the NETS. Giannis is good money(already a future HOFer more than anybody in the league drafted post 2010) and doesn’t have to win again until one of the other new guys win. Historically a great player start winning titles in their late twenties to early thirties before retiring. Bron, Curry, KD, and Kawhi have started to miss more and more games and the league is truly deeper than ever.
