65+ games. :hardenusure:

They are on pace right now for 67 wins with nearly 15% of the NBA season complete. And its not like they're doing it with a hot shooting streak. They are winning games defensively. They are the best defensive team in the NBA right now by a wide margin in almost every category.

Defense as they say travels and has staying power. If they were winning games on offense I would not be as confident as I am right now. They are winning games defensively which lets me know this is not some hot streak. This level of play is sustainable for an entire season.

He's relevant why? All he's done is put up numbers early in the year on a team headed to the 7th-8th seed at best.

He's not relevant in the NBA right now.

You said he was trash and soft but then you said he was one of the best young players in the NBA :jbhmm:

WHICH IS IT? I'm remembering something about Exum being elite too :jbhmm:

I know I said before the trade that Giannis would be the MVP this year. But now given this trade, it has changed everything. Kyrie is gonna shut up all the haters this year. Boston will win 55+ games and get the #1 seed in the East. Kyrie will lead the league in scoring. And he will win the MVP.

Boston will also beat Cleveland in the Eastern Conference Finals and play Golden State for the championship.

Oh and @Swagnificent P, what about a ban bet?

You seem awful sure of yourself and that IT won´t come back and make this boy´s life hell or at least way harder than it is now or that the Cavs won´t put LeBron on Kyrie the entire series.. you seem sure they will beat the Cavs (anybody who saw the 57-point game knows, the Cavs will beat basically all in the East..)

How about you stop posting.. let´s say... the entire off season if (I´ma take it easy on you pause, you made a lot of insane claims..)
1) The Celtics will NOT beat the Cleveland Cavs or any other team that plays the Easter Conference Finals (will be the Cavs, but just being clear)
2) Kyrie will not be regular season MVP
3) BONUS: if someone on the Cavs roster becomes MVP.. you stay away... until the All-Star game (2018-2019 season... so 2019)

Put your money where your mouth is pause

Porzingis is the 5th best young player in the league. I just don't get why he belongs in a thread about Kyrie Irving and the MVP award?

1. Cavs won't even make it to the Eastern Conference Finals anymore. That was my preseason prediction. They're much worse than I imagine. I have them losing in the 1st round now as the 4th/5th seed. They won't even get a chance at Kyrie Irving in the playoffs.
2. Kyrie will win the MVP or it'll be Harden. I'm leaning toward Kyrie cause I think the Celtics will win 65 games.
3. No ban bet cause I want your bytch ass around to clown when I'm right and you're wrong.

My top 5 mvp's as of right now:

1.Harden

2.Porzingis

3.Giannis

4.Lillard

5.Irving

Could have easily put Durant,Lebron,or KAT in the top 5

The problem with Kyrie winning mvp is that he's currently 17th(pts)..20th(asst)...21st(per)...I.Thomas was better across the boards. He finished 5th in the mvp race

This is why you watch the games, instead of looking at the box score. Irving could easily put up better averages if he dominated the ball more, but he doesn't, because he's trying to play within the offense as best as he possibly can. Someone like Harden handles the ball for 9.5 minutes per game, whereas Kyrie only handles it for 5.2 minutes per game.

Boston has multiple players playing at a high level because of B.Stevens offensive system.Kyrie dominating the basketball and putting up greater numbers would be detrimental to his teammates and go against B.Stevens team first approach. While other mvp candidates are surrounded by garbage/inconsistentcy...Horford,Brown,Tatum,etc...are all playing great basketball. And even if Kyrie did put up greater numbers, the fact remains that he's only 21st in "per"...I don't think any player has ever won a mvp with a per that low.
