Of course. Angle was massively overrated in 2000 in the ring. He was just a spot worker who copied Benoit for like his first 4 years. His comedy mic ability and getting under the crowd's skin was his true talent that made him stand out.

Angle defintely tried to become more intense at the end of his first title run. Eventually tried to shift to a serious heel after 2002. If anyone couldnt see that? Well shows their limited scope of who they watch on a weekly basis. Kurt always wanted to be Benoit like in how he wrestled and how he came off. Benoit was the one getting standing ovations after their matches..a respect factor from the fans. Angle was good but was never that good.
