Breh, you cannot be serious.
The market is bigger than just us and people like us with good internet. How does having internet always on benefit people playing single player games and practice sessions?
There are still a bunch of people without internet access that play games, some of the people with net access is only through a phone.
Only possible reason that makes sense for this is for ad placement.
Companies are always complaining about DVR and people skipping commercials, I'm sure this is a tactic to insert ads, somehow, someway into your gaming experience, as they'll know for sure that someone is staring at a screen at that moment.
Then you'll find a way to rationalize paying for that as well.
You don't know that they're not complaining or not angry. You just know that they don't post on this board.
So people are in an outcry for the market of people who this will impact
Listen, I don't even know if I'm going to get the next Xbox, I'm just saying that the people IN this thread who are complaining are not the people who should be complaining. It should be the people in Nowhere, South Dakota who don't have internet with valid gripes.
Yes I know everybody doesn't have the net, doesn't effect me at all, so I could care less. I might just take the bread for next gen and put it in my PC anyway.

And also- because something doesn't affect you, you should say nothing? You can't be serious.
No I'm not going to bytch and moan about this shyt needing to have an internet connection to play games when I play all of my games with an internet connection already.
I don't care if some farmer's kid can't play this next Xbox because they don't have internet... I really don't.
I don't plan on taking my Xbox with me for traveling (get a life), I don't plan on moving anytime soon where I would be without internet, (and if I did I could tether my phone's connection anyway), so really the only time hypothetically speaking where I wouldn't be able to play games on a 720 is if my power went out. And if my power went out, it wouldn't matter which console I had because nobody's playing shyt without power.
Nope, that's what your ps4 is gonna do
Sony wants a future of interactive advertising, patents transformation of ads into games
"I ain't doing this" , "I ain't doing that"

nikka, how you gonna feel playin a campaign, in the middle of some intense fire fight and your ISP is having issues that day and your game goes OUT while you wait for your service to comeup. You start the game up again, go back into your solid state save, and pow again internet connection drops and you cant access your console. Or say you're router is acting up rebooting itself, and everytime it does so you get booted out of your game. Lets not act like this wont be pissing people off and become a big nuisance to gamers.

What happens when you cancel live and can no longer play every game you bought. This shyt, is trash.
i got a huge backlog of games especially on the Playstation 3 there's be stuff to do. honestly i think some of you are complaining about this just for the sake of complaining. if the internet goes down for a couple days in the several years you own a console and can't play it those days are virtually nothing in comparison to the thousands of days it was up.
lets say it has a life span of 1800 days which is about 5 years if in that span it's down 5% of the time that's 90 days. you're still left with 1710 days of up time but you're basically saying those 90 days of the potential for them to happen mean more than the 1710 days.
for a good chunk of us our consoles are on our wifi networks and connect to PSN and Xbox live upon boot. we already play them as if they're always online right now. that's why it doesn't bother me because that's how it is for me now.
What makes you think everyone plays there games always online??
