got to agree with this. we got to realize that we barely make up 15% of the population and of that 15% probably less than 5% are that into games. just from an economic business standpoint you can't expect them to cater to us. you can make a similar assessment about entertainment (tv and movies) which we are over-represented, if anything hispanics should be complaining cause they make up bigger portion of the population and are expected to grow but you barely see much mainstream things geared towards them (hardly any hispanic co-stars, in major movie roles, etc).

then why is it when good games are made with black protagonist, they do well? hell, TWD just won game of year and it was based off a black guys adventure.

one of the top grossing game is gta: san andreas with 850 mil. from where i'm sitting, games with black protagonist have a higher average of success than games that go with the usual brown haired, scruffy bearded, white male protagonist.

This is why I enjoyed sleeping dogs so much even though sandbox type games aren't my favorite....it just felt good playing as a non-white main character in a game/world with little to no white white people at all

You made it clear earlier that you were talking out of your ass by claiming black gamers only make up a small percentage of the Market.

Even if what you said is true in that the target market is the majority (which it isn't) you'd see more games that are actualy geared towards women. Women are by far the largest potential audience for games but they're one of the most ignored and disrespected groups by game developers and players.

The reality of it is the people working at this game development studios are mostly white and Asian males who share similar viewpoints. They make the gaems that they want to make but they also have a habit of hiring the people they want to hire regardless of how qualified (or under-qualified) they are.

It's the exact same bullshyt that goes down in comic books. It's less about how talented you are and more about who you know and are friends with.
