All the movie sites are saying that King outperformed what its studio had projected for its opening weekend.

No way in hell I thought at least 85 mil domestic. shyt is kicking the summer off.

It was tracking to do something in the mid 40s. Then based on the Friday numbers they thought it would hit 50 million for the weekend. The fact it hit 60 million means the movie is doing better than expected, especially with Logan cutting into its profits still.

It's not a strong opening by any means but Legendary (owned by the Chinese Wanda company) prioritizes international box office anyway.

Arguably the best post credits scene since Fury uttered the words "Avengers Initiative" to Stark at the end of Iron Man.

Is that why they gave him that small part in the movie too? I was wondering why they got him of all people for that bit role.

He did Durotan in Warcraft as well. Him and Andy Serkis really got the mocap game on lock.
