It's kinda hard for Kobe to beat the 90s bulls a team whos two best players are Pippen and Rodman. People forget Rodman can score if needed, nikka did average like 20 in college. Not to mention you got nikkas like Kerr off the bench :wow:

I do however think the 08 Lakers would beat them,

damn near everybody were scorers in college

Kobe faced teams with better sgs
MJ faced teams with better bigs.

in most cases, teams need a legit all star big in order to win a title.
- jordan had pippen for 6, and if you want to put in rodman for the last 3 i woudnt hold it against you
- kobe had shaq for 3 (shaq had kobe), and pau for 2

Jordans prime athletic years were against the more physical teams of the 80s with handchecking but no zone defense

Kobes prime athletic years were against "smarter" defenses (with zones) without handchecking

Jordans biggest comp at the 2 was probably Clyde
Kobes biggest comp at the 2 is probably Wade

a 38-40 year old jordan averaged 20/5/5 in this era while shooting a  percentage.... dude still dropped 50:king: tho

kobe is still puttin up elite numbers but even :aicmon: is lookin at that sub 45% like:aicmon:

Jordan faced better comp overall, Kobe faced better comp at his position...

Kobe had more help though:mjpls:

lol you know the coli Pippen, Rodman, Ho Grant, Kukoc are all bum status here players like Kwame and Smush are seen better than those guys here at the coli

Bulls without MJ won like 55 games and and almost made the finals.

Imagine the 06 07 lakers without Kobe

Even when it's obvious Bean played against tougher comp, these dudes still talkin about "slightly" better knowing damn well there's nothing slight about it.

It's a fact MJ played with 2 first ballot HOFs, kobe only played with out, and still won bacc to bacc rings without him.

:whoa: which 2?

I cant name any other 1st ballot hall of famers outside of mj n pippen (dont think rodman was first ballot, still a hof though)

kobe played with gary payton, karl, and shaq during the #8 years.
he played with pau during the #24 years.

ok, only shaq and pau would be in their primes while playing with kobe, but then the case for rodman shouldn't be made since he was 34 when he joined the bulls... UNLESS you want to include gary on LA at 35.

so kobe had:
prime shaq (top 10 all time)
prime pau (hof)
post prime payton (still hof)
:flabbynsick: malone

and is about to have "prime" dwight and still very good nash

jordan had:
prime pippen (top 30 all time)
post prime rodman
horace grant:unsure:
tony kukoc:comeon:
:flabbynsick:ron harper

im a fan of both mj and kobe, but unless im forgetting somethin, i dont see it.

You're forgetting Pippen was in his prime averaging 20,6 and 6 while Rodman was getting 15 rebounds a game. Kukoc gave you an additional 13ppg shooting ovee 40% from the 3, with steve kerr shooting 50% from the 3. And this was all the same year too.
Name one year kobe played on a team with that much talent. The closest you can say is probably the 6th man odom lakers, but even thats pushing it.

Shaq> pippen and rodman
eddie jones > kukoc
nick van exel > kerr

horrys impact was very similar to kerrs during the titles runs of their teams.

kobe also had glen rice and isaiah rider.
dudes may laugh at names like rice and rider, but i remember fans expecting big things with those dudes joining shaq n kobe.
the talent was there for la, but they didn't always put it together. Thats not on kobe, thats just how shyt happened

kobe maaay not have had that much help in 1 or 2 (of many) years but those examples are pretty close imo...

but if you want to talk overall careers:mjpls:?
