Los Angeles Lakers at Phoenix Suns Box Score, May 6, 2006 | Basketball-Reference.com

stfu queer. All you bytches wanted us to play "smart" and "use the bigs" after going for 50 in game six and losing. We shot 50% in game 7 while trying to get others involved. what the fukk were their %s? your homosexual pal Luke was the next highest. Luke Walton. a fukkin' joke.

Yes, playing smart and using the bigs would have been an acceptable strategy. It might not have won the game but it doesn't matter since he did neither in the second half of game 7 anyway. Instead of trying to win in spite of his teammates (which is what most Kobe fans actually liked to see), he forced them to try to win in spite of him. It was some really weird shyt and everyone knew it had no chance of working. If he ballhogs or plays with his teammates, they have a chance. If he REPEATEDLY sets up Brian Cook and Ronny Turiaf for isolation plays, then they have no fukking shot.

Kobe in the 2nd half of that game 7, LeBron in the 4th quarters of the 2011 finals, etc are things just can't be defended. They fukked up, plain and simple. I really can't believe anyone would be stupid enough to say otherwise.

the only weird thing is asking us to take less shots and use the team and condemn us for it when we do.

:what: Anyone that wasn't a Kobestan bashed him from the start.

Game 7 isn't when you pout or "try something else". The game wasn't even a blowout, it stretched to 15 right before the half. If he had tried to get his teammates involved in a team effort, only a hater could get at him for that but he basically went out there on some "ok my scoring didn't work so it's up to you guys now" shyt and he should have been on the bench if he really wanted to do that so they could at least have 5 guys playing on offense.

He wasn't looking for the ball, he wasn't looking to create, he wasn't looking to shoot, he was just stagnant around the perimeter spectating. There was no effort on his part whatsoever.

You can't leave out him getting immediately doubled nearly every time he touched the ball too. He stood on the perimeter accepted the doubles and made the smart move rotating the ball and letting his team play 4 on 3. H;e was making the proper basketball plays but the Lakers had nothing but streak shooters and wasn't shyt dropping. Hell here's a good article breaking down the Laker possessions in that game.

LeBron's 4th quarters against Dallas could be similarly spun. It was just a biased :cape: effort from a Kobe fan and it depicts an inaccurate and dishonest story of what really happened.

We are talking about the Suns defense, a defense Kobe scored 50 points on the previous game, a defense Kobe scored 20+ points against in the 1st half of that game. He then stopped shooting, stopped attacking, stopped doing anything, and this guy wants me to believe that he didn't quit, but he was basically just shut down and completely taken out of the game by the Phoenix defense? I don't see how that is really any better to be honest.

Even so, I would buy this if he was at least acting as a decoy on plays that weren't run for him. If he was at least penetrating to the basket to draw the defense and then kicking out to open shooters. He did none of that. He passed to players 25 feet from the basket and essentially said "here's the ball, create a shot" He didn't look like a guy trying to win a game, he looked like a guy that was determined to show the critics that the team would lose if he didn't shoot as much as he likes to.

He has had a lot of games like that one over his career and they were fairly predictable every time he was coming off one of those 12-37 shooting nights but to do that in a game 7 was :mindblown:
