The revisionist history has been on the Kobestan side. He fukked up that game 7. Trying to involve the teammates is one thing but he basically tried to make them win 4 on 5. He was setting up ISOs for guys like Brian Cook and Luke Walton and then standing 25-30 feet from the basket. He wasn't acting as a decoy, he wasn't trying to drive and dish, he just completely removed himself from the offense.

The Suns were the better team in that series and the Lakers shouldn't have been expected to beat them, but Kobe straight sabotaged that game 7. You can't give him credit for beating teams on his own and then co-sign that fukkery.

You mean after they were already down 20 and he put up like 27 in teh first half. Him doing all the scoring did nothing for them. I can see the logic in trying to get others involved and hoping they'd pick it up defensively. There's way worse games where he just gave up and essentially pouted such as the game in the Finals against Detroit.

No, real talk, that squad was so bad, that Smush was the second best player on the court the majority of the time. LO stayed checking out that season.

2quik is denying that happened though. They took a 3-1 lead in that series and it didn't happen by standing out on the perimeter and forcing catch and shoot players to create shots for themselves.

It just makes no sense for people to talk about how he can singlehandedly beat teams but then defend him when he stops playing when they are down by 15. There is no excuse for him playing the way he did. Even though his teammates weren't allstars, they won 3 games in that series when they played as teammates instead of adversaries.

Kobe made it a point to show what happens when he puts it up to his teammates but he blatantly sabotaged it by not even trying to help them.

This whole Kobe quit in Game 7 thing originate after Brons game 5 in Boston. It's hilarious. 27 points in the first half had em down 20 so he tried something else. Get that hate out ya heart

:laff: you know Kobe still heated bout that shyt cause at the top of his career he has to walk onto the court and look at Smush Parker, Luke Walton, Kwame Brown all on the floor at the same time

:pacspit: smush and his middle of the head part

Look at all of the players (and coaches, or coach in particular) that Kobe got to play with; he has no right to complain about having to play with bums for a season or two.

:childplease:

The idea that Kobe quit on his team had nothing to do with LeBron. Hell, that Game 5 in Boston was years later, what the fukk are you even talking about?

:what: Anyone that wasn't a Kobestan bashed him from the start.

Game 7 isn't when you pout or "try something else". The game wasn't even a blowout, it stretched to 15 right before the half. If he had tried to get his teammates involved in a team effort, only a hater could get at him for that but he basically went out there on some "ok my scoring didn't work so it's up to you guys now" shyt and he should have been on the bench if he really wanted to do that so they could at least have 5 guys playing on offense.

He wasn't looking for the ball, he wasn't looking to create, he wasn't looking to shoot, he was just stagnant around the perimeter spectating. There was no effort on his part whatsoever.
