His old ass has to blatantly travel to get a step on anyone. In many cases, saying a guy has good footwork is basically a nice way of saying that he doesn't get called for traveling.

crab dribble? :mjpls:

I hope some of the hating thats going on here makes some of u guys feel better about yourselves. Facts are facts, Kobe has 5 rings. You dont get 5 rings without at least being a good team player. Of course hes not a great team player, hes a score first shooting guard. Lets just act like Durants irrelevant since he averages less assists then Kobe

crab dribble? :mjpls:

Nah, much worse. At least with the crab dribble, everyone (except maybe :sadbron: ) acknowledged it was a travel on the spot. Switching pivot feet during possessions is such a regular part of Kobe's game that people don't even notice it.

Look how much space he gains without even having to take a dribble. He receives the pass with both feet inside the 3 point line, suddenly he's 2-3 feet beyond the line just by shuffling his feet.

That interview was dope. Dude is definitely on his way out though.

You guys agree or disagree?

As far as actual skills and talents go, Kobe's game is as close to complete as you're probably going to get (there's always room for improvement, but Kobe probably has the least room. He shoots a flat midrange jump shot a lot, but if it goes in, it goes in, hey :yeshrug:).

But as far as mental approach, Kobe always has left plenty to be desired, especially when it comes to shot selection. It's an overconfidence thing, I guess.

As far as the thread goes, nobody loves Kobe Bryant and his game more than Kobe Bryant. He's like the Jay-Z of basketball in that sense. At the same time, nobody can ever deny that this is a guy who has gotten the most out of his talents, and that's something we can ALL admire, no matter what point in life you're at. I can hate on Kobe sometimes but I respect the shyt out of this dude, and am man enough to admit that I wish I had his determination/focus.

all i know was he was already winning rings and taking over in overtime of NBA finals instead of letting his point guard take over :leon:

Durant would have never lost a finals with Shaq, Kobe lost a finals with one of the most dominant big men ever that is a fact:youngsabo:

Yeah he like to travel off of catches. A lot.

But still, I'm surprised that he said he pretty much had everything down pat but 2003 but it makes sense.

I always thought that 03 was his best season ever. 30/7/6 with all the moves he has now but at the peak of his athleticism. I would take '03 Kobe over any basketball player I've ever SEEN. Note: I ain't a old muthafukka so I only saw MJ from '97.
