See the thing with Kobe was he was a risk taker dude had heart .Back in 1996 it was unheard of for guards to skip college. Remember Kobe was 13th pick of the Hornets got traded and first season was on the bench. It wasn't until the 98 all star when heads knew he was the truth. Kobe played with skill, heart, toughness, high IQ,defensive tenacity .He had a bad Achilles's and still wanted to shoot free throws. Putting up 60 in his last game. Kobe was a 1 man Hollywood Show we all loved to watch.

that was my dads thing with Kobe. He was the MOST Box office player....the most exciting player to watch.....he was so skilled, every game you knew he was gon do something crazy you just didn't know exactly what. My whole life my dad would always say "watching kobe play is the most exciting thing ever".

Before Kobe's career my dad didn't watch sports like that. He started watching lakers a lot as a way to bond with me when I was growing up. Bought me Adidas track suit and spaceship Kobe's when I was a kid. Fast forward to today he watches every game period, even after I moved out the house he never stopped watching. He knows about all the players on the Lakers. That's because of Kobe. All those years of watching him play made him care about the LAkers, made him understand the excitement of following the ups and downs of the team.

If you don't have him at least Top 3 all-time then yes you are underrating him. To me the only 3 NBA players with a case to be the GOAT (based on actual skill not accomplishments) is Jordan, Kobe, and Hakeem. They were the only 3 players in history to "master the game" and have zero weaknesses.

If you wanna know who the best is, look at who active NBA players seek out when they want to improve their game. Kobe, LeBron, and Dwight all went to work out with Hakeem when they were at the top of their games. We all know how many players have worked out with Kobe. Guys from Giannis to Kawhi to Kyrie have all been to the Mamba Academy to learn from Kobe. And then we obviously all know how much Kobe learned from Jordan.

I can't think of any other players apart from Jordan, Kobe, and Hakeem that actual NBA players are seeking out to try and learn from. That there should tell you who the GOATs are.

To me Kobe is #2 after MJ..

The only other player I might put ahead is Kareem.... you can't sit here and tell me that a got damn Bird or Duncan or even Shaq rank higher than Kobe..

Those stats geek cacs have ranked Kobe low because of Colorado..

It was always racism.. just gonna call it out from now on

If you have stanned Kobe as long as I have you remember the names:

Chad Ford
John Hollinger
Henry Abbott
Tom Friend

All disgusting Kobe haters, and they got one thing in common they hated him because of Colorado..

Now that my dude has passed we better see his name get higher in the rankings..

Honestly between this and people like Gayle i go between grief and anger

I’m dead the fukk serious when I say watching Kobe play was the most entertaining shyt I’ve ever witnessed. GOAT franchise will move on and get other great players, but for the rest of my life the Kobe era will forever be the best to me.

after further review Kobe might've been better than MJ:patrice:

MJ was 24 when he linked up with a 22 year old Scottie.....if kobe had a young legend to build with as he enters his prime does he really finish with just 5 :patrice:. I've always had MJ slightly above Kobe but a lot of bullshyt agendas from media/haters fukked up the narrative of his career. Kobe's help came in a more disjointed fashion. He didn't get to "build" with a fellow legend of his era.

I also got Kareem in there.....my top 3 is some combination of MJ/Kobe/Kareem they clearly stand out above the rest when you combine skills, longevity, on court accomplishments

Same thing with me. I used to watch the NBA religiously when Kobe played. Everytime he stepped on the floor it was MUST WATCH TV. After his retirement basketball has just not been the same because nobody brings excitement like he did.

Watching Kobe play was the most exciting thing I witnessed in sports over my entire life.

Won't you be able to feel if you're going up or down? I've never been in a heli, but if you're going over 150 MPH won't you notice that?
