idk maybe I'm just trippin, but something about Jay saying Kobe looked up to him didn't sit well with me.

Yeah
I get these former athletes gotta get work but man I wouldn't even want to work with that dude(not counting Marcellus amongst the former athletes because he's shown he's a clown ass nikka too). Dude's be on here pumping up his show, I could never watch any bullshyt involving Whitlock.

:wow:

Haven't heard from Stephen Jackson yet... but I am sure he carries the same energy..

Biggest Kobe haters= Whitlock and Nick Wright should get hands or at least spit while in L.A.

Went to a happy hour after work yesterday to catch up with some coworkers in DTLA at a bar on Hope Street about a block from Staples..
Arrived and there are 8 guys there.

I knew 3 of them from my old job.. they range in ages from mid twenties to 40..

They were Asian, black, mexican and one white dude...
They were already a bit faded when I arrived.

Proceeded to talk some shyt about the old workplace and some of the girls that we worked with that may gotten smashed..

After about 30 minutes I said

"how did you all get through Kobe.."

I didn't know if these dudes were a big a fan as I was..

Everyone at the table erupted with stories and reaction..

dudes telling me how they never cried real tears for some one they never met until Kobe..

Cats saying they didn't want to eat and they wanted to be alone and just be in their thoughts that whole Sunday..

One guy said he went to work and told everyone he wasn't prepared to talk about till that Friday..

A dude telling me his mom cried and she didn't even speak a word of English.. we talked so much about it that everyone got into side conversations about it..

I never seen reaction like that from grown men in my lifetime and I doubt I ever wI'll again..

We agreed that what we all liked and looked up to about Kobe was his courage..

From the infamous Matt Barnes ball fake to shooting free throws with a torn Achilles this man's life was a movie that we got to be a part of and witness real time..

Same here. Never cried before about the death of someone I never met till Kobe. Sunday didn't even feel real. And then when I went out on Monday the whole city just felt gloomy and people were really down. And I don't live in LA. This was Nashville, TN. Even all the way out here the loss was felt. We also had billboards go up soon after that had RIP Legend with Kobe's face on it all over the city.

I remember when Michael Jackson and Muhammad Ali died. Kobe's death hit folks harder. I don't remember people being as down in my city as that Monday after his death.

At least you got one. :ld:

Do you have a Costco Membership? They have STACKS, at least from the reddit post I saw yesterday.

I’m assuming Walmart stores vary. I went to one today and saw no stands. Maybe they sold out?

I was prepared to hate this book. I am not a sports fan, and I am especially not a fan of Kobe Bryant. If the assault charges against him had taken place in the Me Too Era, I suspect he would not have had the great basketball career which he did.

But this is a gorgeous volume, a loving tribute which does not shy away from the Colorado assault which for so many of us non-sports fans defined Kobe Bryant. In examining his legacy, this unpleasant part of his history is satisfactorily addressed. If it had not been, no amount of extolling his virtues would have made me like this slender tribute. Loaded with ample photos and recollections from many who knew him, if you are a Kobe Bryant fan, you will appreciate this publication. And if you are not, you can appreciate that it provides a balanced portrait of the man.

The Amazon link just has 3 reviews right now but i saw some cac post the review above and now im doubting the content. I hate when people make comments like that above. its real passive aggressive. I really hope ESPN didn't focus so much on Colorado
