problems to hope for :russ:

to me a rolex is like a wife. when a man has a wife it is the most illustrious title next to being a father one can have.

it reminds me of alec baldwins speach in the departed, i need a rolex to step up my prosperity like all men should need wives.

they see a fine standing watch, they know your time is good. :salute:

This is by far the stupidest thing I have heard here, and I have heard some dumb shyt.
Buy the watch because you LIKE it, not for some perceived respect from others.

When do you suggest to buy a Rolex watch?

It was a tradition in Europe that when a child turned 18 years old, their parents gifted them with an expensive watch.

I think it's ok to buy a Rolex anytime. Just make sure that the watch coincides with where you're at in life. Like all watch companies have entry level models, mid-point models, etc.

You don't want to be an Amazon distribution worker that bought a bedazzled timepiece that would be commiserate with what the CEO of Amazon might wear.

You don't want to be that guy. You might think that you're flexing, but in fact, it will have the opposite effect.

Ehh, I did have a longer reply but long story short:

I got a Seiko Baby Snowflake this year and next year was looking at Omega but just was looking at Rolexes now and the only one I really like is the plane Jane Oyster Perpetual:

whats your ultimate piece ?

Once I'm at "boss" levels I most likely won't even wear a watch.

Ultimate pieces though....

A. Lange & Sohne Tourbograph "Pour Le Merite"

Patek Philippe Grand Complication 5159G

Vacheron Constantin Metiers d'Art The Legend of the Chinese Zodiac (This would be my "bling" watch)

We're currently in the "Year of the Rat"

I was born in the "Year of the Ox" so I'm waiting for that to come out.

I'm not really a fan of metal straps.

Whenever you want. Some people will spend hundreds totalling to thousands on designer clothes. I know bytches with handbags that ran them a couple k. I don't think you can have an arbitrary rule on when to buy a nice watch

But of course this is all relative because it depends what level of watch you're going for as....

LOL@"whenever you want". Nevermind the budgeting and savings part. Forget about the investments and debt you'll most likely piling up.
Just buy a Rolex watch whenever you feel like it. :what:

Holy shyt. And this little kid has the nerve to call the 5X rule dumb?! Nevermind the fact I learned this rule from actual millionaires.

This is how I know you'll never be rich. Go ahead and spend money whenever you feel like it. And then go back to your 9-5 job slaving ur life away for buying a Rolex watch because "hey you felt like it."

You dumb f$%^ Coli nikkas think they know everything.

But hey, what do I know. Just buy expensive watches "whenever you want." :mjlol:
