Kofi hasn't been billed from or as Jamaican in like 9 years now. He did it for a year and they dropped it completely. It was his idea since he's super into reggae. I don't know why you guys are still talking about it like they still say he's Jamaican.
Cuz Xavier tried to make a point about black wrestlers being foreign, dancing, and big men before new day, but he perfectly described new day.

Would dope to be able to sit down and have a off was covos with these 3 brothers about about race in the E and wrestling in general.

They are definitely woke and do push against how black wrestlers have been positioned. I'm January they posted a black excellence pic with them, Sasha, and Swan and had to explain to some clowns why it wasn't racist. In the past they made fun of kofi for the Jamaican gimmick in turn quedtioning the foreigner gimmick that dudes have been given. Xavier has also spoken at length during interviews about how he just showed up as R Truth's friend for his debut with no build up aka how black wrestlers don't really have the "machine" backing them.

I must have missed where Kofi's gimmick is that he's foreign. It used to be. That's kind of X's point.

How is he saying New Day has done everything possible to change the way blacks are perceived in wrestling when they're just some dancing over exaggerated characters like mostly every other black wrestler

He can't seriously sit there pull the "they say we aren't black enough" card when your gimmick is essentially the same it's always been for black wrestlers

A nikka that twerks and claps and dances his way to the ring isn't gonna tell me he's doing something so unique and revolutionary from other black wrestlers in the past.. the only difference is his shtick got over.

Yeah I remember Cripple H during the DX old man reunion tour killing Kofi's gimmick dead

How often do comedy wrestlers get to hold titles for over a year? That's without even mentioning them being a black comedy trio. There's a ton of black culture references that fly right over the heads of the majority of WWE's audience and yet they still got over. The funny thing is, I enjoyed the majority of the guys you mentioned. As far as me mentioning negative aspects of their characters, that's because if we're gonna call New Day c00ns for their act, I'm gonna point out things that could be seen as "c00nish" about the others. If we're gonna call black entertainers c00ns for having majority white audiences, then why aren't artists who pedal black genocide and irresponsibility to the same majority never given that label? :jbhmm:
The point is that Woods is acting like New Day broke the mold, but they didn't. He tried to make it like New Day of all people are the anti-stereotype, but they come out everyweek dancing, gyrating, being hypersexual, propping a cereal called "booty-os", etc. He's wrong here for acting like the person that tweeted him (or whatever) was incorrectly pegging New Day as c00ns, when it's a clear and accurate assessment of them. Like this one of those times, where you can't really say anything back for real. He would have been better off just saying something about "we cashin checks tho"...instead he tried to act like New Day was some kind of intelligent Cliff Hugstable stereotype breaking shyt.

And too your last sentence, black rappers and thots and any other "street" black shyt gets called out all the time. Especially on the coli. I mean we can put away this notion that black people don't call out this stuff out all the time.

What difference does it make if they were classic or not if the characters were entertaining and interesting? You're just trying to move the goalposts again so you can shyt on some black wrestlers. :mjpls:

The characters are beyond corny and stale at this point. Yes, the smarks like you still get a kick out of their 13 year old "humor", but you probably also think edge and Christian are funnier than Chris Rock :hhh: c00n Day hasn't drawn one casual viewer, probably lost a few smarks even they're so tired at this point. 8 hour Wrasslemania and they couldn't a match :kang2:
