Marquee free agent destinations is not an overrated term when you're referring to the concept of superstar players, which CP3 and Jrue aren't at this point in their careers. The best FA signing that they've had in a long time in recent memory is David West, which tells you that they aren't viewed that way compared to other teams around the league.

The majority of those guys in the early 2010's Pacers roster were homegrown talent led by a superstar (at least at the time) in PG13. That's what Pritchard wants again and why he invoked the name of PG13 and Dipo.

Miami is a marquee free agent spot. Clippers are in La and this the first marquee guys they have gotten with George and Kawhi. Knicks are allegedly marquee and the only player they have signed is Amare. Pacers have a good management, a top 20 coach ever, and now tyrese and duarte to build upon vs the kings who don’t have a great gm, have the worst owner in the nba, and don’t even know who will coach this team as they likely hire their 12th coach since they made the playoffs 16 years ago.

That still doesn't change the fact that they aren't a marquee FA destination and the history shows it even when they've had major runs and success. As I will say once again, Kevin Pritchard wants a superstar player and those are words that came from his own mouth. They aren't going to sign those type of players, so they will either have draft and develop themselves, find one that is willing to go there which hasn't been the case or hope that Haliburton becomes that dude to the level of PG13 and Dipo.

You can spin it however you want, but that point isn't going to change. There's a reason why they keep taking on injury prone players such as Brogdon and Warren.

That’s back when Sabonis was their “star”. They flipped him into tyrese Haliburton who is going to be arguably the best point guard in the conference next year. Plus a top six draft pick.

1.Pump the brakes on calling him the best PG in the conference next year as there are other PGs I'd still take over him.
2. Who says that they are getting a top six draft pick especially if Turner, Brogdon and Warren come back this season. Even if they don't, the lottery changes doesn't guarantee them anything.
