There isn't a compelling narrative here to build around/retell in any order or format. Just a word soup of "heart" "darkness" "the light" and middle schooler level philosophy takes.
"But my master key was sealed in the darkness. The nobody's heart sealed the kingdom and I can't find my way out. I know of the light stays in my heart then I can fight for my friends! So mickey created a data version of my heart but the nobody stole it and sealed it away in the darkness so in order to find the light I have to...." Blah blah blah
I loved these games as a kid too but I distinctly remember a point in KH2 reading the Ansem files when I realized the story was some extremely convoluted asswater. And the more games they came out with trying to explain it, the more confusing and dumb it became.
KH was still dope because of fights, music and cameos but
the plot makes sonic the hedgehog storylines look like Shakespeare .
