How can camel be GOAT when he got so many trash LP's?

answer me that Jay stans

Compare Jay's catalogue to Scarface's...no arguments allowed

Vol 2 and MCHG were subpar/below average, KC and BP3 were mediocre/uneven and BP2 was okayish

Vol3 and Roc La Familia were very good, AG and Vol.1 were great, TBA/RD/BP1 bonafied classics

All Face albums (besided the unofficial ones he never agreed on to be released: My Homies 2 and Balls And My Word) are great or bonafied classics

Remember the SOHH thread when the title track hit radio :wow:

That sample flip :wow:

The actual album wasn't terrible but kinda meh. At the same time it's a very interesting album because it's Jay trying to be more like...well, Nas. There's more introspection, social commentary, and some weak attempts at radio songs.

IMO Jay would be a better rapper and have had a better (late) 00s if it had been a successful album. Instead he went full retard with BP3 and MCHG for commercial success, stadium tours, etc.
I agree with this

I'd put it below Blueprint 2....I think BP2 was Jay at his worst. Fresh off of Ether and sounding like he has no clue what to say and how to follow-up BP1

MCHG was weak but unfairly hated on. It might just be better than Kingdom Come, its a toss up. MCHG didnt have anything blatantly as weak as Hollywood, Anything or Trouble...but it also had weak content overall, when KC was Jay being Jay at that point in his life and giving us perspective into his real life....

I'd put KC below MCHG, because Magna felt like a quick flip. He recorded the album quickly and it seemed like more of a business venture with Samsung. As a longtime fan, I had low expectations and they were met for the most part.

KC was touted as Jay's comeback album, and had Dr Dre heavily involved. It was a bit more of a flop IMO

Nah, it's a solid enough album up til I Made It, plus Grammy Family freestyle dropped around that time so it gets a pass from me....MCHG was definitely Jay at his worst

I like this album but "Anything " with usher and pharrell might be the wosrt jay song ever ...the dre production and mixing was dope, the prelude is great... def had a few joints on here... just one of my least favorite jay albums

And like I always say, i don't understand the MCHG hate ... :yeshrug:
