it will never get to that level though because the egos involved would be too great.

but if they really went through with it and treated the event with the respect it deserves, it would probly be the GOAT ppv year after year.

- the top 8 wrestlers in the fed (minus the world and IC champ)
- all competing in a single tournament
- all in one night
- winner becomes the no. 1 contender

:ohlawd: at the the storylines going in
:ohlawd: at the storylines coming out
:ohlawd: at the thought of a competent creative team

imagine...

- cena
- bryan
- reigns
- ryback
- rusev
- seth
- dean
- bray
competing in a singles elimination tournament for a shot at brock lesnar :ohlawd:

so much room for fukkery!
so much room for incredible matches!

and that's with a shytty roster!! could you imagine if this shyt popped off back in the day??? :whew:

:to: why can't we have nice things brehs.

I say have 4 legit contenders and 4 non threats
Throwing all thatvstar power in it is not needed
Have the first round between two weeks. Each first round match up main events a raw and smackdown for two weeks
Second roubd u have those matches the third week. Fourth and final match you have at the ppc where u build it up as the winner becomes king of the ring and gets a title shot at summerslam or royal rumble. U now have plenty of guys doing something for at least a month or so or more via a 4 week tournament

U could have a random upset like kofi beats ryback and makes it to the finals and faces rusev maybe he wins or loses but u at least give them a chance to be tested out in a match that means something.

:comeon:so you simply chalk that up to "americans don't like tournaments"???
yes.

the only tournament in american ppv that really worked was wrestlemania iv and that was billed as ANDRE VS HOGAN II on some 'guaranteed to see' shyt

http://www.thecoli.com/threads/wwf-e-ppv-buys-from-1985-to-2012.6747/

i'm gonna compare ppvs with tournaments, the month before, the month after, since mania iv
