One of the regrets I have from that posting period was being too forgiving about Candidate Trump's worst inclinations because he represented perhaps the last chance to break the political status quo and broaden the realm of what is considered politically possible, thereby opening up the lane for progressive/outsider politics. While his administration has been more vile than I foresaw, I think long-term, my overall take is still correct. I see Trump's election as chemotherapy. The groundswell of progressive politics that have risen in the wake of his election are the antibodies.
