For some odd reason I pictured a white girl in my head. If that was a black chick and you asked her why she called her mom by her first name she would probably angrily reply, "*GROWL* NON OF UR fukkING BUSINESS. I DO WHAT I WANT. I use to call my mom by her name when she never would answer me. I'd call out "mom" 3 times and she wouldn't listen. I'd yell out her name and BAM! It's all good now.

Many have asked me why I don't call and never have called my dad, "Dad" and we grew up with him. It's just something that develops, you know. It has nothing to do with a lack of respect.

You can pass it off as 'something that develops' to try and justify it to yourself but whatever way you cut it, on some level or other, your parents failed you.
