I don't think it has anything to do with bein trivial. It just seems like a disconnect from the child/parent dynamic. I don't think a kid should look at their parents as bein their homeboy/homegirl. Ya digg?

That's how you interpret it? I've never looked at or dared approach my parents as my friends and they would still slap me if I ever approached them in that way. Some of you stay stumbling over the most inconsequential things.
