I prefer draft picks too
But
Nick Foles is not a perfect trade piece
. Teams may not be willing to deal a good draft pick for him (i.e. second or third round pick).
Hell, they might not even give a fourth rounder for him, knowing that we need to unload him from the cap by March.
If teams are not willing to deal that kind of draft pick value than you gotta settle for some value from a player for player deal.
Fournette is only 24, only played in two seasons, and showed flashes of his ability in 2017.
Regarding his injury history, Its not like he is gonna be a bell cow here and its not like Pederson is gonna run him into the ground if we get him.
Fournette is definitely better than wat we have now at RB and he is on a rookie contract.
I only brought him up because he is disgruntled and wants out of Jacksonville and Jacksonville needs a QB. Seems like an early good match.
I look at it like this, Fournette trade is like the Ajayi trade but Fournette has better knees and higher potential upside.
Wat we trade to get Ajayi?, a fourth round pick?
For Foles, an imperfect trade piece, Fournette sounds fair.
