Did they franchise tag him or picked up his option, im hearing two different things here?
They had to either pick up the option or decline it before they could tag him.
Picking it up leads me to believe Nick's willing to work with them in finding a trade partner, otherwise they would just decline it and tag him to hold him against his will.

Yea, I think they are gonna be forced to franchise tag him ultimately so Foles picking up the option doesnt matter.
But then again u are right, Foles gotta be willing to sign a long term deal once he is traded
Definitely, Nick has all the power here. Even if a team offers two 1st rounders Nick can tell them he doesn't want to sign long term there and kill the deal. Ball is entirely in his court.
