It's tricky though because the franchise tag number for a QB in 2019 is $29m. That's a lot of money to have tied up during the heart of the offseason until a trade is sorted out, teams that are interested can easily sit back and wait it out because they know push comes to shove we're gonna have to rescind the tag and free that space up.

Another aspect is that Nick controls his destiny regardless of getting tagged, he can easily look at a potential trade partner and say he doesn't wanna sign there long term and kill any deal. No one's gonna trade premium assets for him unless an extension is agreed to before hand.

Best case scenario is we find the perfect trade partner that Nick is down to extend with and it happens quick like the Alex Smith-Washington trade. It's a longshot though, much more likely Nick leaves through FA and we get that 3rd round comp pick in 2020.

Valid Points but I really dont think they just gonna let him walk and only get a comp pick.

What you think the trade market is looking like for him tho :jbhmm:

I think a 2019 third rounder and a 2020 second rounder is fair.

I think the teams who may trade for him are the Dolphins, Raiders, Broncos, Jags, Redskins, Giants, Bengals, Steelers, Chargers and the Patriots.

fukk it
I'm rooting for Andy to finally get a ring
I'm not trying to see another Pat win and I'm too petty to root for the team that beat us

:yeshrug:

LA is the only option. I'm petty too, which is exactly why I cant fukk with Andy. At the BARE MINIMUM he cost us at least one championship during the McNabb era.

And we had a shot with Vick if it wasn't for David Akers. :scust:

One thing that gets overlooked and is almost taboo to talk about, at least from my experience ... the Jim Johnson defense didn't always come up big when we needed it most.

08 NFCCG against the Cards, we get a 1 point lead in the 4th quarter. Defense gives up a touchdown on what I remember to be a long drive that left the offense with 2 or 3 minutes to do work. Was the game that I felt Dawkins didn't have it anymore.

06 Divisional against the Saints. My God, even though it was supposed to be Jeff Garcia magic, the fukking defense once again couldn't get off the fukking field. Deuce McCallister ran all over us. We scored early in the 4th to make it a 3 point game, traded 3 and outs then they just snatch 5 or 6 minutes off the clock, just running down our throats. PTSD bruh... ugh.

04 Super Bowl, mostly nothing to complain about except JJ's lack of adjustments. Screens and swing passes were there all fukking day and he made no adjustments. But them nikkas cheated anyway and I don't respect that 04 ring the Pats got. :stopitslime:

I won't complain about 03 against the Panthers, that was on Andy, McNabb and definitely Pinkston and Thrash for being bullied by midget corners.

Same for 02 against the Bucs even though there is no good fukking reason Joe Jurevicius should have had that long ass td. Or that a Brad Johnson lead offense puts up 20 points on us.

Got damn we have had it rough as Eagles fans, from every damn angle. I can't imagine what it would be like for my pops if he was alive, since he witnessed the 70-92 Eagles.

Still love JJ though.

Yea Pederson just came out and said Wentz the starter next year.

there is very little chance Foles was coming back as a starter...even if he balled out- all the Eagles are going to do is try and get more for him in a trade- based on the latest press conference its clear- they will franchise Foles and trade him

So we have confirmation that Groh and Schwartz are coming back.

They took no time to make that statement. Guess we gotta find a way to accept them. :beli:

Whatever, we got to the divisional round and almost won that shyt with them. While majorly depleted. Maybe I've been too hard on both on them. :yeshrug:

No doubt, but we stuck with these nikkas and all their flaws. Let's see what the draft and FA does for us. And whatever trade magic Howie can provide.

Maybe the talent can outweigh the coaching deficiencies. Although, for LeBlanc and Maddox to come on so strong late in the season given their status, that has to be attributed at least some to coaching. :yeshrug:

I don't even know how to evaluate Groh since Doug is the one calling plays. I don't know how much influence Groh has but obviously something is working well enough to get us playoff bound. I'm legit lost here. :pachaha:

the 2 name you mentioned are interesting because I like Maddox but i think its clear over the last 2 games- he is a liability as an outside corner- he is better suited in the slot but Crevon played well there to. My guess is Crevon is a backup slot- or maybe he is a 3rd safety and where is Jalen Mills in all this...the secondary is the most interesting area of interest going into 2019. I dont want Jalen Mills on the outside EVER again...as I have long said Rasul is a better option and so far, I have been right....please hear meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Schwartz...pleeeeeeeeeeeease
