the 2 name you mentioned are interesting because I like Maddox but i think its clear over the last 2 games- he is a liability as an outside corner- he is better suited in the slot but Crevon played well there to. My guess is Crevon is a backup slot- or maybe he is a 3rd safety and where is Jalen Mills in all this...the secondary is the most interesting area of interest going into 2019. I dont want Jalen Mills on the outside EVER again...as I have long said Rasul is a better option and so far, I have been right....please hear meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Schwartz...pleeeeeeeeeeeease

Right and we still don't know how Sidney can perform as a full time outside corner. Darby is a question mark as well, he may demand too much to retain him. I still think he can be a top 15 corner, but I'd like to see Schwartz use him in press man more versus off man or zone coverage. But in order to have him in press man, there absolutely has to be another corner who can strive in that. Similar to our situation with Asante, Nnamdi and DRC. Two of the three were press man while Asante with off man or zone.

How many years does McLeod have left on his contract, because I could see them using Avonte as safety alongside Jenkins and they could be interchangeable depending on formation. Rasul can be slotted as an outside corner, Sidney can go in or out, Avonte could play safety or inside, LeBlanc could be in the dime package, Mills can play outside in the redzone or safety in big packages. There are really a ton of options given the players we have, I just hope Schwartz can sort it out in the right way.

I tend to agree with all points I bolded...Mcleod is a cap hit next year 120000%- his cap number is high as hell in 2020 and the dead money is low. The issue with Sidney is - I dont know what I am getting (and I was all about Sidney Jones when we drafted him...now im like...man fukk this dude, he stay hurt. Not to be a dikk but I need players who can fukking play) he needs 10 solid pounds and get his legs healthy. I will give him a chance on the outside but if there is an interesting CB in the draft (later rounds) I would bring him in...but I need speed opposite Rasul. Darby kinda sucks...I am down on him, I guess if he is cheap I would do it. He cant want crazy money after that injury. I would love for Philly to draft that Nasir Adderly kid Box mentioned earlier (but he will get drafted early and he isnt exactly a NEED NEED right now

So ideally, who would you want starting and how would you want them arranged. Strictly speaking on the players currently on the roster. Mills, Darby, LeBlanc, Maddox, Rasul, Jenkins, McLeod, Sidney and I guess Graham, though he has to be gone unless he is an emergency fill.

PFF rated our front seven as the best in the league. If we could just find 5 or 6 guys when it comes to nickle or dime package, we are solid.

How many of yall Foles truthers still tryna get ridda Wentz :sas2:
Someone on another forum actually laid out the stupidity of the Foles vs. Wentz debate pretty well. To paraphrase:

Doug Pederson is the guy who scouted Nick Foles back in 2012. Pederson is the guy who convinced Andy Reid to draft him. Pederson is the guy who brought Foles back to the Eagles in 2017. Pederson, along with Frank Reich, is the guy who crafted the offense that Foles dominated the Vikings and Patriots with to win the Super Bowl. And despite all of that that, Pederson - who works with Foles every day of the season - still stays they should go with Carson Wentz.

I see so many takes saying we should trade Wentz for 2-3 1st round picks. My question is, if Wentz is actually worth that much, then why should the Eagles trade him in the first place?

So we have confirmation that Groh and Schwartz are coming back.

They took no time to make that statement. Guess we gotta find a way to accept them. :beli:

Whatever, we got to the divisional round and almost won that shyt with them. While majorly depleted. Maybe I've been too hard on both on them. :yeshrug:
Schwartz is fine. He got way too much blame for the team's struggles this year, especially when there were several games - such as the last one - where his defense gave the offense a chance to win and the offense just couldn't do anything with it.

I'm less excited about Mike Groh, but the offense did turn around in the last few weeks of the season. Maybe now that he has more experience, and now that Wentz won't be on IR for the entire offseason, he'll show improvement next year.

It's our last year before Wentz gets his big contract so they'll have to make this one count.

Kareem Hunt needs to be an Eagle next season. :yeshrug::mjlit::feedme:
Hunt would help to solve a huge problem. He’s available (for now), he’s still on a rookie deal, he’s young and hasn’t shown himself to be injury prone, he’s an all-purpose RB who can run, catch, and pass protect, and he’d keep us from having to spend a draft pick on an RB. His very presence on the field would balance the offense again because he’s a threat defenses would have to game-plan for.

Unfortunately, given his off-field issues, I doubt the Eagles take a shot at him. Remember that Howie passed on Josh Gordon at a time when we had no receivers besides Agholor (in retrospect, he made the right choice there). Howie and Doug both prioritize the culture and bringing in the “right people”. Hunt doesn’t seem like the type of guy they go for, even if it would help them.

I honestly don’t know what they do at RB. I don’t pay attention to college football, so I don’t know who the stud RBs are or how likely it is that they fall to the point where we get a chance to draft them.

But I do know we have serious needs in several areas. JP is likely gone, Brooks is going to be gone for a while, and now Kelce is thinking of retirement. That means there’s a chance that three-fifths of the O-Line is gone next year and all we have are Wiz, Vaitai, and an untested Mailata, who’s never played a regular season game of football in his life. O-Line needs to be a huge priority in the draft.

Brandon Graham is going to free agency, Chris Long might retire, Jernigan might be gone, and who knows how Barnett is going to look coming off IR. The D-Line is losing a lot of critical pieces this upcoming year and we’ll only have Fletcher Cox and Michael Bennett. That’s another priority.

We also have holes at WR, so that’s an issue too. We need an explosive deep threat WR who can stretch the field and who defenses have to respect, like we had with Torrey Smith back in 2017. And then Agholor and Tate might both be gone. Don’t know what they’re doing with Mack Hollins. McLeod might be gone, so now the Safety position is an issue as well. And there’s also LB, if Hicks goes. On top of all that, the Eagles don’t have the cap space to go aggressive in Free Agency.

This is going to be a challenging offseason.

In a perfect world

Outside: Jones and Rasul
Inside: Maddox
Safties: Mcleod and Jenkins
3rd safety: Mills
4th safety / backup slot Leblanc

thank you....your replied basically summarize my take on these topics....you need to pop in more King :myman:
I am not wowed by Groh but I GUESS I can stomach him. As byrdgang knows...there is no bigger Goedert fan on this site than me, and the fact they under utilized him for me is CRIMINAL (so alot of my Groh hatred stems from that)

how do you know Doug ain't just playin politics here. maybe in years down the road Carson will be the QB we think but right now on this team , for this team Foles hands down better.

and secondary is straight trash I don't know if experience is gonna make them better or what but our secondary is horrible .

I'd like the eagles to pick RB Kentuckys Benny Snell he is the jay ajayi knock off prob gonna be there in the 2nd or 3rd

o line gonna be tarnished if we lose all these dudes up front.

Carson got his work cut out for him next season looks like a lot of roster changes are coming this teAm really gonna be his.
