Some of you are making this deeper/bigger than what it actually is...But if you just absolutely have to bash black people then knock yourselves out.

Maybe this wouldn't happen if nikkas weren't so crab in a barrel. Infact I'll say its Keisha's fanbase that's bashing black people(in this case her and gibson) for not supporting a happy healthy loving relationship.

I don't know if I'd immediately jump to throwing all black women under the bus though like some of y'all.

I'm anxious to see what Adele does. Her music is in the same vein as Keyshia Cole, that heartbreak-type stuff. Now that she's getting married and pregnant, I doubt her music will still reflect that sadness. Wonder how her fans will react.

word
i swear nikka here are some sambo, self-hating hoes

there are numerous White artist who compromised artistic integrity to please their fan base

c00ns in here acting like it is only Black women who pigeon hold artist:aicmon:

This aint about self hate. The question you should be asking why can't her fans be happy for her?

It's not about not supporting her healthy relationship, these females loved her music, because it was someone who is speaking their pain, and telling their story. It's something they can relate.

It aint about trying to hate on Keyshia, some artist are just better at music about pain, struggle, and heartache. And Keyshia is one of them.

I'm sure if Budden started making Flo Rida ish happy music his fans would be upset. Certain artists have certain lanes...people expect things out of certain artists and when it's not delivered of course they'll be upset and want them to revert back to their old ways. It's really not any deeper than that. If Keyshia had been a "happy" artist from the get go there'd be no backlash...

Basically, Keyshia was the voice for certain women, and she represented their struggle.

Now instead of bashing so-called bitter Black females for not supporting Keyshia, why don't we bash so-called healthy Black women for not supporting Keyshia with her evolution

I actually understand this. Remember "Here I Stand," when Usher made an album almost entirely about how he loved his wife and son and was content with his new life as a family man? Nobody was checkin for that shyt.

So I see why Keyshia Cole wouldn't want to go that same route, especially since, if she REALLY followed Usher's footsteps, the next stage would be to go completely Eurotrash :why:

That's the truth :pachaha:

:pacspit: him dropping that as a follow up to confessions

I like Keyshia Cole, and I understand why she's making this decision. I actually feel that Keyshia has a connection with her original audience, and she understands their struggles, and she always wants to look out for them. She's always come across as someone, that actually cares about people, to me.

shyt Sade who I love, never strayed from her blueprint, and continue to make songs about pain, loss and all that. Because even tho she's successful, she understands that there are people out there. Who are struggling and just need someone to express their pain.

For people who are struggling and going through shyt, sometimes they need someone, who can just express their struggle and pain for them.

This is the point tho from Keyshia pov, it's not about her, she's making music for folks who are going through certain things. And she obviously wants to be the voice for them.

And plus it wasn't just the so-called bitter women who didn't embrace her new sound.

he was on his grown and sexy mode with them other songs but they were just as real imo more lyrical better by far.

I'm talking about everyone because from what I see it was her whole fanbase, not just black women, going on music sites and whining. That's the part that bugs me.
