It's not about not supporting her healthy relationship, these females loved her music, because it was someone who is speaking their pain, and telling their story. It's something they can relate.
It aint about trying to hate on Keyshia, some artist are just better at music about pain, struggle, and heartache. And Keyshia is one of them.

I'm sure if Budden started making Flo Rida ish happy music his fans would be upset. Certain artists have certain lanes...people expect things out of certain artists and when it's not delivered of course they'll be upset and want them to revert back to their old ways. It's really not any deeper than that. If Keyshia had been a "happy" artist from the get go there'd be no backlash...

I actually feel that Keyshia has a connection with her original audience, and she understands their struggles, and she always wants to look out for them. She's always come across as someone, that actually cares about people, to me.

This is the point tho from Keyshia pov, it's not about her, she's making music for folks who are going through certain things. And she obviously wants to be the voice for them.

cuz they were looking for them confession type of joints like BURN, CONFESSIONS and CAUGHT UP
he was on his grown and sexy mode with them other songs but they were just as real imo more lyrical better by far.
