I don't know if I'd immediately jump to throwing all black women under the bus though like some of y'all.

I'm anxious to see what Adele does. Her music is in the same vein as Keyshia Cole, that heartbreak-type stuff. Now that she's getting married and pregnant, I doubt her music will still reflect that sadness. Wonder how her fans will react.

I don't mean it in a bad way though but I have to keep it real. What sells to black people? HipHop which is full of violence, drugs and hurting other blacks. What else sells? Black women's pain.

If I wanted to be rich tomorrow all I have to do is write a book about how some black man did a black woman wrong and how the black woman overcame her evil black man (who she still decided to pick to spread her legs for anyway.) Talk about how much of a beautiful, infallible Nubian Goddess she is. Talk about how the nikka raped her, gave her AIDS because he was on the down low, never had a job, got her pregnant 5 times, went to prison for 2 years, got out of prison, went to an IV league school, AIDS left his body miraculously and then he married a blonde haired, blue eyed white girl.

At the end of the book the black woman gets revenge on the man by somehow acquiring all of his money, leaving the evil black man and his evil white snow cave bytch poor and destitute. The the final scene is the black woman beating the shyt out of the blonde haired, blue eyed white girl.

Then I will be on Tyra and Oprah doing interviews about how poignant and powerful my book is. Then Hollywood will pay me billions of dollars to make a movie out of my book. The shyt will fly off the shelves in book stores everywhere. The movie will sell out everywhere.

You know what's the saddest/funniest/scariest thing about that hypothetical anecdote that I just jokingly wrote?

That pretty much it could really happen.

Black people love buying into dysfunction.

Yes, but once you've reached the state of happiness, people don't care about you anymore because the listener is still bitter. The listener is still unhappy. Just because you got there doesn't mean they did and they feel salty. Even Beyonce has to keep making these airhead anthems and these breakup relationship songs as singles even though she ain't about that life just to keep people interested.

With R&B it's especially bad now because once upon a time you could eat off making love songs. With hip-hop it's the worst because hip-hop strives off misery and frowns upon success even though hip-hop fans beg to differ.

That's funny because alot of people have become tired of Beyonce's predicable singles and she is starting to become stale music wise.

I could be wrong but her last album didn't even go plat.

I actually understand this. Remember "Here I Stand," when Usher made an album almost entirely about how he loved his wife and son and was content with his new life as a family man? Nobody was checkin for that shyt.

So I see why Keyshia Cole wouldn't want to go that same route, especially since, if she REALLY followed Usher's footsteps, the next stage would be to go completely Eurotrash :why:

It's some sad shyt that Black women won't accept her making songs about a happy successful marriage/relationship so now she has to go back to making the abused black woman singing about a no good nikka music. Shame on her fanbase for not accepting a happy Keyshia. K.Michelle trying to jump in the bitter black chic lane now that she thought Keyshia left it. I guess she's back in it now.

yes because k. cole fans represent all the millions of black women

Ex girlfriend used to blast this song over every little thing.

:what:
Keyshia Cole - I Should Have Cheated (BET Version) - YouTube

She never played any love songs when she was running through my debit card.

GOOD RIDDANCE B!TCH!

:heh:

Reminds me of a story I read on another forum where this dude said his girl wound bring up that Beyonce song "Irreplaceable" whenever they have the slightest disagreement, if its was something minor.

Its crazy as a lot of people attack Hip Hop music for having a harmful effect on people where's some of the Beyonce/Keisha Cole songs are just as bad.

And Grown Women be getting gassed off of these records too.

Its scary as on this site we all stan our favorite rappers in The Booth and what not but the way Beyonce influence some of these women in real life out here is :merchant:

I mean if a Pac stan gets into it with a Burger King employee there not gonna be like...

:pacspit: "fukk Burger King as a restaurant, store and a motherfukking crew, if you wanna down with Burger King then fukk you, White Castle, fukk you too, all you motherfukkers.

Then proceeds to spit on said employee and yell while you walking out HAVE A GOOD SUMMER bytch :pacspit:

Lady Gaga, Katy Perry and Britney Spears dropping that positive piff :ahh:
