I think that’s true for most men in certain occupations. That is, they won’t take you seriously if you’re a bachelor after a certain age. Unless, you’re already technically higher in the chain

Honestly, I think it’s a societal thing. You only escape it when it’s perceived you’ve gone past the typical socioeconomic ranks.

Waydaminite!
Elon Musk has been divorced three times and is slowly backing into a common-law fourth marriage:dwillhuh:.

Bill Gates got married after he became a billionaire. Michael Jordan went and got married after an expensive divorce despite having grown kids and more pull than 99.9999999% of the universe, Eddie Murphy also backing up into a common-law marriage.

:francis: Welp, I know which side of the street looks like they're winning. Good luck out there fellas it's been real.

the average man ain’t Elon musk, bill gates or Eddie Murphy though...

They are just really simps is what it is.
I ain't ashamed to say it, if that's simpin where do I sign up? Hell, even George Clooney is married. Just looked up to find Ike Turner was married six times. He died owning his catalogue and left a trust fund for the kids

If the non-simps club is Matt Barnes, SJax, Bishop Don Juan an the rest, I'm cool on that. We simpin not pimpin now:heh:.

I'm not gonna shame a man for getting married 5-6 times.. that's all them.

But I don't see a reason to get remarried at 40, 50, 60.. whether you are legally joined together or not.. does that shyt make a difference?!

I can still call my girl my wife regardless of whether she's my wife on paper!

Is Kevin Samuels even currently working in corporate america?

Should you be getting married because you want to or to play the corporate game? If you offer a service people can't refuse I doubt they will care about your relationship status if its not disrupting your image or theirs.

Plenty of celebrities out here with squeaky clean images in mainstream media but are lowkey running through women.

Elon Musk ain't corporate, neither is Robert Smith nor Bob Johnson plus many others. How many tech founders or successful entertainers over 40 are single?

With the divorce rate about 50% all people talk about are the successful marriages between celebrities. They don't talk about the middle class guy forced to live in a shoe box or move back into his parents house after a crippling Divorce. The figures being tossed around of child support and alimony these days is staggering.

You're either a hustler or your not and marriage isn't gonna make you automatically successful. I've worked with plenty of broke married dudes still stuck in the same dead end job for the last 10 years. With a family to support they couldn't take a chance and relocate for that better paying job elsewhere. They end up being the most miserable dudes in the building because their basically a wage slave.

How many people total will ever be as successful as any of those guys? Nobody on this site will ever come close to that level of wealth.

Hell most people on this site will never even reach 100K per year salary. If you pick the wrong chick you could end up even worse off financially. I know a dude who's wife divorced him and left him to support 3 kids. His dating life is basically non-existent as a single father of 3 kids. While she's out banging her new boy toy without a care in the world. Dude damn near got fired because he kept spazzing out on people at work due to the stress of the divorce.

In your imaginary scenario, how much money has she contributed to the mortgage? Why wouldn’t you marry a woman with an income close to your own?
Ok. What is your realistic scenario in an American middle class divorce since mine is imaginary? Im listening.:unimpressed:

First of all, a $400,000 home is upper middle class in my state. I know that’s not the case everywhere but even still, you’re already talking about the top 5% of Black Americans in the US. Your scenario is already not a realistic example.

Only 8% of Black women are stay at home moms with a working husband.

Furthermore, 84.4 percent of black mothers were primary, sole, or co-breadwinners in 2017. In the vast majority of Black families, the wife is making just as much or more than her husband.

To answer your question, the more realistic scenario is that the assets are divided equally between the two as the wife is most likely a co-breadwinner. Child support should be given to whichever parent has primary custody.

The vast majority of Black Americans aren’t even married so I don’t even know what’s special about announcing your GMB or repeating Cac fairytales from reddit to defend your stance. You all are doing what’s expected. Just, don’t have kids.
