I am all for fashion and my dress style ranges from a Kevin Samuels to a Curren$y. But I am reading that some of you brehs feel like you have to dress a certain way to garnished some sort of respect in public? No matter what you wear as long as you walk around with confidence you will get respect.
That’s the key here.

Here's my problem with Tariq;

If he cannot collab or overtake you, he's then beefs with you.

He's literally beefed with everyone he's linked with and bigged up.

I was done after he bigged up ADOS/Yvette/Tone and every one and they mamma knew what was gonna happen.

He made FBA and fukking went on a warpath because Tone tried to explain to him what Opportunity Zones were.

Then began invaliding Bryon Allen's lawsuit and randomly calling Sandy Darity (even though him and Yvette got tension now) gay.

So, I got bets on him dissing KS and calling him mois before Christmas. :mjlol:

To an extent.

If you walk around with sagged pants, you are going to be looked at like a clown.

I don't mind suits but I don't like when people in suits act uppity and look down on you when you aren't in one:stopitslime:

I'm mostly into tech wear and minimalist fits so my style doesn't even equate to this. I just wear casual clothes that fit

I dress up all the time but I don’t like this advice because why should I have to have a suit on to be treated like the average white man in flip flops and chino shorts? This is c00n shyt to deflect off of white supremacy. Do we have personal agency? Yes. Do I dress suited and booted? Yes. But I also realize that I’m just a nikka in a suit especially when I’m anywhere upscale.
This. Black people were lynched while wearing their Sunday best. Jazz singers wore business suits but were called n*ggers and devils.

The cancer is racism and white supremacy not how we are dressed.

Kevin I know you stalk this thread.

Chronicles of Judah on his Patreon gave you a s/o the other day. He says he has no problem with what you do. He's glad you have your own platform. He also said he is impressed at the patience you have talking to the modern black woman because he said he couldn't do it.

Martin Luther and Malcolm wore suits 24/7 and were shot in them.

There was no Jordans, dreads, athletic gear, torn skinny jeans etc in the 50s and 60s, yet Black people were terrorised, hounded, hunted and stigmatised by the entire white society and all its levers.

Black people must stop thinking that appeasing racists by acting meek in a suit will make them love us. That to me is stupid, we have experience going back centuries with white people so must now know they are what they are no matter the year.

We are a colorful, bright, creative and fashionable people whose spirit cannot be confined to the whims and evil desires of a lunatic white population.

These people believe in their heart of hearts that Trump won the election, isn't responsible for half a million covid deaths and was a great statesmen.
Trust me, such people don't give a fukk what a Black is wearing or his grooming. Whether you're LeBron in a suit or the average dude they still hate your guts.
No one said this

read the thread before you get on your soap box next time

that’s why we can’t discuss anything serious

Mother fukkers never do homework to find out what the discussion is all about first

this is to you and to at least about fifteen other people in the thread

There is a time & place for everything so I understand wearing what's appropriate to an extent

But it does not make a difference whether or not you're in a suit or not, you still a nikka, we were getting dogs and hoses out on us when we dressed in collared shirts and ties

Wear what the hell u want

I'm looking at it from a different angle personally

i give respect to a breh whether he dressed to the nines or not

cause he another person at the end of the day just trying to live

Exactly. When im making a run to the grocery store or running errands im going for comfort. Im not thinking about the image of the black man being changed because im wearing some joggers and a tshirt and frankly i shouldn't have to. Society as a whole has moved into a more casual style of dress, me dressing up in a 3 piece suit aint gonna solve institutional racism
respectability politics is trash. a black man in a suit is a n***** in a suit to racists. It's almost as if it's not black people that are the issue
