Your reading comprehension is low. Nowhere in this thread did I state I had a problem with the Celtics retiring KG’s number, so im certainly not “salty”. His number being retired is well deserved.
What I do have a problem with is the shytty talking points being rehashed to bolster his legacy here. How could a dude who was losing on his own franchise for years(this is a fact) get credit for changing another losing franchise? The KG changed the culture of the celtics talking point is so stupid you couldnt even answer my hypothetical question.

Yet Irk is the one who lost MULTIPLE Playoff series where he favored and had the more talented team (including the most embarrassing 1 vs 8 loss ever) while KG literally never has. Every series he was supposed to win, he won. He took teams with scrubs and no first round draft picks for half a decade to multiple 50 win seasons in a stacked conference.

KG came from a losing franchise. He was missing the playoffs year after year. He was not the sole reason for the celtics success when he was unsuccessful on his own team for years. This is a fact, not an opinion.

You can use this same argument against KG as well, and it’s more damning.
Dirk needed some defensive role players around him to win a title.
KG needed a legit number 1 scoring option paired with him to do the same. And the greatest 3pt shooter ever up until that point.
So who really needed more help?
