To even compare Dirk to KG is hilarious. KG had trash talent around him outside of his first 2 years with Marbury and the 2 years with Sam Cassell and Sprewell. And to be honest that wasn't even that great
Dirk on the other hand been on talented teams and faulted under pressure. 2007 losing to a bottom seed Golden State Warriors and in 2006 losing to the Heat when the Mavs were the favorite in the Finals
And I'm a fan of Dirk, love his game. But had to call out these hilarious takes

Dirk gets the ultimate pass and it makes me sick to my stomach. The Mavs beating the Heat in 2011 was so powerful, everyone ignores the rest of his losses. Let any historically great player be a 1 seed that gets upset by a 8 seed, and you would never hear the end of it.

Dirk has played with a laundry list of great players. The Mavs ran a top 5 organization in the 00s yet Dirk only has 1 title.

Exactly. KG and Paul had to deal with incompetent organizations for a majority of their career. And this was back then when the GM or President was God and media never talked about them, got called out, or criticized them. So many players back then were at the mercy of their trash organizations. Dirk on the other hand had stability with Marc Cuban as the owner, Don Nelson, then Avery Johnson, then Rick Carlisle. All that support and only got 1 title
