Because Russ is the better Alpha player. We dont know what goes on in that locker room but when russ was ball dominant they won and the offense flowed better. It might be a lighter kobe and shaq situation where the team has to choose one since we know management are cheap. Plus their recent trade favors westbrook
Feel that but when Russ was hurt KD had the best season in the league and won MVP and they still won 59 games. I love Westbrook to death but I think him being the best player would be a Harden type situation. They might win 50 games this season but the next they may struggle to get to 40. I don't know if he is built to lead a team for 82 games and a playoff run without another boss type out there with him. While I think KD could win a chip if he was on a team with a true point guard and a big man who could score and rebound. But real talk the roster they have now is stacked and though I like the trade they just made I don't know if I would have made it just cause of chemistry and having to get used to playing with each other. I would have liked to see them in Donovan's system in year 2. Now they gotta incorporate their new teammates in which may cause them to struggle at the beginning of the season

@DarrynCobretti durant joining the Warriors is WAY WORSE than the heat sh*t. They'd be the most stacked team of all time on paper

I'm just saying it's the heat that started this corny sh*t

I've already said (maybe in other threads) that durant to golden state would be the biggest hoe move ever....but I guess guys wanna take what the heat did one step further
Durant would be going to team that already won 73 games :dead:

When have 3 stars taken paycuts to team up?

You're bringing up sh*t that almost happened. :mjlol:

Miami was unprecedented, your agenda won't change that

Bringing up teams from the 80s is irrelevant, there were like 22 teams in the league

lakers had 5 hall of famers playing at once.. how dare u :mjlol:

5? :dahell:

Why are you ALWAYS lying?

How many of them were past their prime? (All of em)

How many games did they play together ? (Almost none)

Did they take paycuts to team up?

Just stop

Like I said in the other thread, basketball fans are weird when it comes to how stars are treated. If they never win a ring they get clowned, people call them a loser, people say it diminishes their legacy, etc. But if they join a team that has other stars on it and gives them the best shot at winning a title then they're a coward.

Damned if you do, damned if you don't. fukk what people think, KD should do whatever he feels is best :manny:

Let's say Durant goes to NY. I don't really follow the Knicks like that...but would KG make them contenders? Or is it more likely to implode due to Carmelo being selfish.

KD had dinner with the Sr. Director of Sports Marketing of Under Armour last night :sas1:

Why would he be lunchin' with the competitor and specifically the guy who's attached to Steph's hip? :sas2:

And why he always gotta be a trend follower hopping on the wrestling t-shirts after Bron started the wave :martin:
