Where is the cut off point. Durant came into the NBA in 2008. JJ Reddikk in 2006. So they played in the mid-late 80's, early 90's golden era?

On one hand its much easier to score today. On the other hand, the players that don't matter are better than prior generations neither of them even played in. Makes no sense.
JJ and KD still both came in after the NBA changed the contact rule in 05 to have less restrictions on perimeter players. Someone like tmac or vince(especially him since he just retired) would be able to give you better distinction in terms of the game between now and then

I see him scoring a cpl pts more than his average simply off space to operate. They issue with him would definitely when he's forced to his off-hand, but I still see him doing damage.

Now, a player I think would probably be the same in this era as they were back then is Reggie Miller
Defenders are longer than they were back then and it’s harder to get into the paint now versus back when Clyde played.

Reggie woulda def killed in this era.
He was 6'7 where you get 6'4 from? His 3 was broke but his midrange was money and he was constantly among the leaders at his position in rebounds, steals and assist. No one in the lane he beats you off the dribble and its a dunk. Those portland teams he wasnt dominating the ball like he would be today
Apologies, I really thought dude was 6’4”

I don’t think Clyde is getting around defeners as easily in today’s NBA.

Clyde game is definitely one that was for its era. Simmons would have been a monster in the old fastbreak era and we see how he can't adjust to the new NBA outside of 13 ppg and Drexler isn't 1/10 of the defender Simmons is.

Its definitely easier to score today than it was in the late 2000s but it's easier to score overall in the 90s than today if you account for the skill-set improvements and athleticism improvements of today.

I think Clyde's handles were to limited imo

Agreed… The league was built off of ISO GODS….
No it wasn’t. The Lakers and Celtics in the 80s were NOT ISO teams. Neither were the Pistons.

Jordan and Kobe were beasts at ISO, but they played within the triangle.

The early championship Spurs teams were iso teams, and people hated that.

Lakers and the Celtics weren’t iso…. They sparked the league….. Kareem was an iso post player in the beginning of his career and won a chip in the process….. Jordan made the league a juggernaut based off of his iso abilities…. You bullshyttin saying otherwise…(he broke out of the triangle countless times) Kobe carried the torch by being a tremendous iso player… hence why he’s your favorite ball player’s ball player…

Nah it wasn’t…..It’s a reason why MJ and Kobe are heralded the way they are……

And this statement shyts on a lot of great players from yesteryear….. Let’s see what the product/ratings look like 2 years from now……
Breh, what the hell are you talking about. More than half of the teams in the NBA were unwatchable in the late 2000s. I feel like its just idiot Kobe stans and MJ stans who rarely watch teams without those players who praise that NBA

People hated San Antonio because it was San Antonio…. It made it easier to call their brand of ball boring before they started winning at a high clip… If the Knicks were running the same offense with the same rate of success the narrative would be the polar opposite

No they didn't. Everyone like the San Antonio team that beat Miami. It was the 2000s teams that played the most boring iso/post up mix known to man

That’s your opinion… But I’m far from an MJ Stan…. Appreicate Kobe’s gift but that’s because I’m a Laker company man… :manny:
