I always said to my boys that Reddikk was an underrated defender for what he was.

shyt, Drexler would eat in this era. I dont even wanna think about what Nique would doSo why wouldn't Jordan and Kobe be highly effective this era with stacked 3 point shooting around them?
Who tf is stopping them 1v1 and racking up a bunch of foul calls while everyone else on defense is spread thin and worried about outside shooting?
Look at the damage a 6'2 three level scorer like Kyrie does. Dealing with the taller versions would be infuriating to scheme against.
Just like Brady when he said the NFL got soft because they handicap the defense. He said it himself that he can play til he's 50 if he wanted to because the game is easy because of how the rules are set up. The NBA is no different.
Honestly, I wish international basketball can reach the level of international soccer where the talent level is spread out across different leagues who approach the game differently. And when the time comes to play each other we'll see who's really bout it. Because some of these "elite" scorers looked mighty pedestrian at the world level during the Olympics without the NBA refs in their back pocket.
Drexler is a guy I wonder about.shyt, Drexler would eat in this era. I dont even wanna think about what Nique would do
I see him scoring a cpl pts more than his average simply off space to operate. They issue with him would definitely when he's forced to his off-hand, but I still see him doing damage.Drexler is a guy I wonder about.
Players from his era don’t seem to rate him that high and when you watch his game he wasn’t that good of an outside shooter and he could only dribble with one hand and had to look down while dribbling.
He was also 6’4” but not as strong as Wade or Harden.
Word. I miss when Tony Delk used to run the league and be one of the best points guards of his time.Obvious to everyone except a certain stan club. You had multiple muthafukkas putting up 40 and 50 point nights like nothing. That was unheard of back in the day. Only legit superstars did that before.
Blake Griffin had a 50pt game in this era. I love Blake, but there is no way he's getting 50 in the 90s.
This is has been debunked a million times. It is easier to score today when it was in the late 2000s when the lane was clogged, spacing was limited, and it was still an iso-dominated game.
@CHICAGO, this ain't what you think it is. It literally it what they are directly talking about.
He was 6'7 where you get 6'4 from? His 3 was broke but his midrange was money and he was constantly among the leaders at his position in rebounds, steals and assist. No one in the lane he beats you off the dribble and its a dunk. Those portland teams he wasnt dominating the ball like he would be todayDrexler is a guy I wonder about.

Which made it harder to play in, as said in the video.
Bro said straight up you had ot take difficult midranges because the paint was clogged and threes weren't as acceptable as they are today.
They explain that this era is full of role players with quick releases that can shoot threes and the coaches writing a bunch of plays/counter-plays to get them open means a bunch of space especially for players who can create their own shot with the ball. Defenses are literally spread thin and in disarray today.
All I'm saying with all the skills Kobe had as a three level scorer and more spacing (like mentioned above), dude would've been a nightmare. Ya'll think what Devin Booker is doing today is noteworthy (which is next-level don't get me wrong) then 2005-2006 Kobe and 91-94 Jordan would have been unreal.
Put them on a team with stacked 3 point shooting and make defenses pick which they'd rather stop: somebody built to attack getting shot after shot at the rim and getting everyone in foul trouble or a volley of 3's? Either way, the defense is getting done up.
