Not everyone is built to be a leader, which is why I always question why people criticize him for his lack of it.

That's cool. Not everyone can be a leader. So if he just wants to focus on hoopin then do that. But he also seems to want a major role in decision making with the team, so is it Oochie Wally or One Mic?

What does one have to do with the other? When did it become the norm that the best and most talented player on the team is the defacto leader?

Which is perfectly fine. Never understood why the most talented player has to be the de facto leader of a team.
It's because people kept trying to call him the best player in the world

There's a certain level of leadership and intangibles you need to put you over the top.

Literally. If you come into a series feeling you're gonna lose... then I should knock you for that since it hurts your team.

That's exactly my point. Being the best player in the world doesn't make you a great leader. It just makes you more talented than your peers.

People put that label on Kevin Durant. He didn't put that label on himself. Even when Durant answered that exact question, he mentioned nothing about leadership in that equation.

Being the most talented also doesn't make you a great leader either, which is my point.
But you're arguing past the point being made. We can't consider KD the best player in the world when his lack of leadership is detrimental to his success.

A less Talented KD who could get Kyrie and Ben Simmons on the court regularly or Harden to take the game seriously would be considered a better player.
