Not everyone is built to be a leader, but those that arent dont have to go about like he is
That's two different discussions. I agree with the second part of your comment. I'm focusing specifically on the topic of people putting the leadership expectations on him and then getting upset or having a reaction that he wants no part of it.

But you're arguing past the point being made. We can't consider KD the best player in the world when his lack of leadership is detrimental to his success.

A less Talented KD who could get Kyrie and Ben Simmons on the court regularly or Harden to take the game seriously would be considered a better player.
Once again, people put the best in the world label on Durant at one point and time. Durant didn't put that label on himself. People are criticizing KD for his lack of leadership when they were the ones who created the narrative in the first place. That's my point. It'd be one thing if KD was running around calling himself the best player in the world and carrying himself like he is, but he hasn't.

We're talking to the people (you) who said he was the best in the world, not KD. :pachaha:

Did I call KD the best player in the world though? Where in my comment did I say that? At one point and time, people in the media including dudes on this site were talking about him as if he was. We can pull up the receipts for dudes who insist otherwise.

Who said he doesn't want any part of it? Didn't this nikka hand pick his team, his running mate, his coach, ask Brooklyn to get up all their picks for harden, then demanded the front office pays his weirdo friend? Those all sound like moves a leader would do.

People are making all kinds of excuses for Kevin Durant instead of just saying he's a shytty leader when he failed at being one.

No that's something that the best player on the team would. The best and most talented player on the team isn't always the leader and it's amazing that people still keep thinking that.

I don't think Bradley Beal is running the franchise over in D.C. and making these decisions just because he's the best player on the team. If he wanted to play ball and not think about anything else, no one forced him to play front office.

He was in a 'leader-less' position in GSW and still wasn't happy - hell he even shat on their offense after he left for BK.

That still doesn't mean Bradley Beal a "leader" though just because he's making leadership decisions. You keep conflating the two when it isn't necessarily the case.

Nah you misunderstood what I said. Beal isn't trying to make these big front office, coaching and personnel decisions...so he would be actually a better example of your argument. KD is trying to be that dude, he literally went to BK to do all of that. So you can't claim 'he doesn't wanna be a leader' when his actions clearly show he wants to be (and was given the keys by the Nets).
