"An audit of the electronic system used to tally votes in Kenya's cancelled presidential poll showed no manipulation of data, the French biometrics firm that supplied the system told AFP Friday.
Opposition leader Raila Odinga has accused the company, OT-Morpho, of being complicit in alleged rigging of the election, which was declared null and void by the country's Supreme Court due to "irregularities and illegalities" in the transmission of results.
While the court has yet to deliver its final judgement detailing what went wrong, OT-Morpho said an "in-depth audit" of the system showed the opposition's claims about hacking to be untrue."

“We do not intend to become the scapegoat of the political situation in Kenya,” Chief Operating Officer Frederic Beylier said Friday in a phone interview. “We do not accept that the reputation of OT-Morpho and its employees is tainted in any way by these allegations. This has to come to an end.”
The company is suing unidentified people in both French and Kenyan courts for damaging the company’s “reputation and honor,” he said.

The truth will always out! UK has just been declared winner of the by election with 7.5 mn, 98.3% to RAO's 70,000,1.2%. He told his own followers not to vote-a more spectacular political own goal can't be imagined. I've said repeatedly he's the most overrated politico in these parts.

No problem! By elections typically experience turnouts,smth like US midterm elections which are usually 30-40% below presidential elections.

edit: nvm, i saw it. 39% turnout this time and it was only Kenyatta's people who voted.
Turnout last time was 78% and Odinga got 45%

Kenyatta should've just waited negotiated with Odinga. Win the more legitimate seeming election after negotiating with Odinga, and then left the old man out to try. Instead he fell into his trap.
Now Kenyatta's "victory" seems illegitimate. The int'l community is looking at Kenya funny. Chess, not checkers.
