His list makes a lot of sense, it's a pretty coheren collection of hip-hop masterpieces and it's very similar to my own personal list (although Im slightly surprised too of not seeing Illmatic or some Eminem album there).

The only straight shockers to me were the Cash Money albums on the list, wich I considered mostly trash back then, I guess I'll give them a listen

And for those who say he only has west coast albums, what's up with:

Ready To Die
Reasonable Doubt
Life After Death
It’s Dark and Hell is Hot
The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill
Stillmatic and....
The Black Album

So what's up with that??

Great list :salute:

:to: At him acknowledging The Flyest. That's always been my third favorite song off of Stillmatic.

Kinda shocked not to see an Outkast album on the list, or Jeezy's TM101 since it was mentioned throughout his album

This thread is what's wrong with hip-hop, LOL...

I loved Illmatic to death, and played it an average of three times a day back in '94, and it's still one of my favorite albums... but I can understand if someone else didn't have the same experience. Especially a nikka that was 6 years old at the time. What is this thing where every rapper has to put it in his shyt or nothing else matters?

There were classic albums pre-Illmatic, albums considered to be just as classic if not more, and nobody ever bytches about why they don't get listed. Just once, I wanna see "OMG how could Drake not say It Takes A Nation Of Millions?!! He HAS to put that on his list!" or "No Paid In Full? FUKK this list"... at least then it would break the monotony of the constant Illmatic dikk-swinging that goes on.

Word. And lets keep it 100. Most 24/25 year olds introduction to Nas was "If I Ruled The World" and 9/10 times, the first Nas album they probably owned was I AM.
