The album is getting props because the people that are giving it props, have found reason to do so.I'm not telling people why they like it but, why this album is getting propped is pretty obvious but it happens with any thing that is well hyped.

We're done here.
Nice try, but how does that end the convo? I know you're desperate to avoid being verbally sonned in an argument, but you have to try harder.
the fact of the matter is that you know I'm right, or at least onto something, and you're trying to run away. That's why you have nothing to say to the other 99% of my post.
Nice chatting.

You've been talking mad shyt all week about an album you haven't even heard yet? It's been two goddamn weeks!
When were you going to listen to it? Why have you been talking so much shyt about something you ain't even play yet? What the fukk is wrong with you?
I...man...
the Booth y'all
i guess thats why all of aubrey's albums get this sort of critical acclaimI'm not telling people why they like it but, why this album is getting propped is pretty obvious but it happens with any thing that is well hyped.
Why be so conflicted by it? Because it's the same narrative with the artist you Stan.Im not saying people dont like the album, Im saying the narrative of how good the album really is.. is being pushed by Kendrick hardcore fans and not largely hiphop public.
the flaw in his argument is that the same would be true of aubreyWhy be so conflicted by it? Because it's the same narrative with the artist you Stan.
Fans do what Fans do. They hype up their favorite artist.
You're acting like I'm committing some grand injustice against music. And of course you're gonna imply that my behavior represents a lot of Kendrick 'haters' on the Booth in an attempt to dismiss many legitimate criticisms. Nice try, but no dice.
I have many reasons for why I haven't heard the album yet.
1. Every single track I've heard running up to this album has been trash. Not even decent. Flat out trash. "I", "Blacker the Berry" and "King Kunta" - straight garbage.
2. The two tracks that some were spazzing out over, like "Wesley's Theory" and "Mortal Man", I listened to. Straight garbage.
3. I don't like Kendrick Lamar. At all. I've tried to like him. and the hyperbole makes me dislike him and his fans even more. I think he's a mediocre D-level artist with a TON of hype. In fact, more hyperbolic praise than any artist since Kanye. So I'm not in a rush to hear this new album.
4. I've already given Kendrick Lamar the benefit of the doubt in the past. I rushed to hear GKMC, hoping to be convinced of it's genius. To this day, I've wasted valuable time listening and relistening to that mediocre album. I won't fall for the okie doke again, especially since everything points to this album being yet another shytty release and I can use my time better.
5. If this album is as classic as some of you are telling me, I can hear it for the first time 10 years from now and still find it classic, just like the critics said. So what's the rush?
Answer your questions? You too @Dawgs_bruh bruh
Look at all these guys who claim they don't give a fukk, but following my every comment, even in other threads and but posting replies to me who wasn't even talking to them in the first place.
A lot of you Kendrick stans are so damn sensitive. What concern is it to you what someone thinks of an album and why/when they express their opinion? And instead of debating their actual opinions, you're doing your best to hurl petty non-thread-related insults at them.
You're asking why I'm giving my opinion, on a website created specifically for people to give their opinions on anything hip hop related..... the dumbest question ever.
And you wonder why hip hop is in the toilet - stans make it impossible for music lovers to give opinions.
The lunacy of you nikkas. The album is universally celebrated by everyone sans Drake stans. It's a great album.Im not saying people dont like the album, Im saying the narrative of how good the album really is.. is being pushed by Kendrick hardcore fans and not largely hiphop public.
:dennis: didn't read
I didn't expect you to. Literacy is low with Kendrick stans. They run away, even if it's a sentence long, for fear of reading the truth.
I really should put this disclaimer in front of all my posts, short or long. I had it in the Rae Sremmurd thread:
First of all, this is a long post. I feel like I have to tell people that now because literacy is at an all-time low. People never hesitate to call someone stupid for having a different opinion, but when that someone takes the time to explain the reasons for the different opinion, those same people will say, "I aint tryin to read all that." Exposing themselves as the true idiots. If you belong to those kind of people, check out now. Just know that hip hop discussion is not for you and you're not an intellectual in any way shape or form, despite what you may think about yourself.
